I think a lot of people don't have the woods nearby, so they don't know any better.

This. I *do* know better, but especially now don't have the time or the nearness. Mount Baldy is 20 miles away and would probably be tons of fun, especially when it gets cooler, but it's hard to bear the thought of spending that much time away from my books. :( Also, I don't trust being alone in the wilderness down here, so it'd have to be a day when Ben was here... alas.

Whereas I have a treadmill halfway down the hall, so....

I know. Once I move out again, it will all be inconveniently far away. I am going to miss life in the country so much... :(
