I think the reason most artists write about love for their songs is because love is the most "common" emotion. "Common" meaning that everyone has had at least one form of it in their lives, and most people strive to gain more as they go on.
Why is it that you speak so strongly against love songs? Is it because there are more love songs then most other music, or something else?

I was just upset at the time I wrote that.
But it does seem that most artists focus too much on just relationships, and dating, and romantic love, but there are so many other emotions. And other types of love.
You're right, love is the most common one. They make more money that way, I'm sure.
Although songs about sad things are very popular, too.
