I really hate using AIM while I'm at work for those same reasons. I'd rather people email me and then I check the messages and get back to them when I have the time.

yeah sometimes i try not to log into AIM for those exact reasons but there are few choice people that i do want to talk to on AIM.

oh i know. i dont mind the typed out smileys. i think its the smileys on AIM that make me mad. just looking at their little yellow faces makes me want to punch someone in the teeth.
