i think i can handle the nearly 50 hours. i just need a few books & extra batteries for my discman. i may face a bit of computer-separation anxiety, but i will have lots to look forward to. .. it's the ride back that i already dread.

Wow, that's a long train ride!! I've only been from Toronto to Montreal on a train - which didn't take more than a few hours. But I would love to go somewhere far on a train :)
