Am still alive, though with a frightful sinus headache. Why are my sinuses this sensitive?

Anyhow...I would like to present my friends with a link that made me laugh.

Havelock Vetinari has a LJ?lGotta love the Discworld ( Read more... )

Niceness and innocence rarely have much to do with each other except in certain situations where an innocent person is so nice to someone who'd probably kill them within the hour. (I think that's Kerrigan channeling through me. :P)

And yeah...as one experiences life as they grow through life... innocence is lost. And will never be regained except with tiny inklings through their children and relatives.

I trying not to be so nice as I used to be since, well,... I always end up hurting myself by biting back and just saying nice things. I was always too nice 'cause well... I hated hurting people. But I'm realizing that's just not possible. Someone gets hurt--always.

Hehehe. Snarky, sarcastic and evil: woot! What a combination! :D Especially snarktastic. *grins*

And I think I know why you're imagining Jarlaxle--Kerrigan! :P He's such an influence. *sniffles* Oh, I'm getting all weepy--it's my baby that got to you. *is kidding*

I'm in a weird mood now. *laughs*

*hugs* So glad you posted. It's been a long time.

Good point. I don't know why I thought they were related. I just wanted to get it written down before the idea was lost.

I don't know why the concept of loss of innocence hit me so strongly NOW. But it did. It's worth thinking about.

Having Kerrigan channeling through you is a nifty idea, I think.

*nods* Me too, I am trying to be less nice, despite the niceness being so hardwired into my being.

Snarky, sarcastic and evil is a great combination, and one I aspire to.

You know, I think it IS Kerrigan influencing me. That man IS an inspiration. *pats his head*

I am always in a weird mood. *grins*

Yes, it has been too long. Too embarrassingly long, but I decided to give it a try now, since I had some half-formed thoughts. Maybe one day I'll expand on them, maybe not. But now they're here.

*blushes* I forgot to reply to this.

Well... in some ways being nice can be an innocent thing. Just not always related.

Maybe 'cause of age? Time? Who knows? I've had weirder thoughts hit me when I was blanking out so... who knows?

*laughs* I'll be sure to let him do so more often then. He just better not try to take control, is all.

Same here. I'm just the kind of person who, if they could, save the whole world and forget themselves. It's hard to be "selfish", even if for a good reason.

Hehehe. I prefer snarktastic. Whee Rodney McKay! (Stargate: Atlantis. I love him...)

Weird is good! *grins*

I've been putting off posting in my LJ too, but I'm trying to remedy that...

Heh, no problem, Silviesis.

I do think age may have something to do with it. :D *hugs*

If Kerrigan tries to take control, I'm sure we'll be able to stop him. :D

I don't know HOW we've gotten to be so unselfish. It's a little tiresome sometimes to deal with the guilt.

I really need to watch Stargate sometime.

*hugs* I'll hop over and take a look at your LJ when you do, Silviesis.

Yay!

I think it's good that you become less innocent; it means you're also becoming more mature and less naive. I find it hard to imagine you as evil and snarky, though.

Harry Potter stories are interesting. They take some real-life experiences or types of people and magnify them.

Wikipedia rules. It is very helpful! Or at least refers you to a link that is.

Heh, I'll probably never be entirely evil and snarky. I've never been able to be that for very long.

*nods* That's what I like about Harry Potter. It's real experiences, just in a different setting, and magnified.

Yup, that's why I love Wikipedia so much. It's usually very helpful.
