We'll live. It's just hard. Physically, she's still around, but mentally, she's gone.

A somewhat common problem, an elderly person who not only has the health and mental problems that come with age, but also refuses help. She definitely needs the help, though.

Your job sounds great! It's actually much like mine, library work, and I also find myself reading too much instead of working. That's why I try to select books I won't want to read (you know, math and physics). :D I'm glad you get to do library stuff finally.

Oh, yes, and we will be getting her the help, it's just going to be tricky.

We are a research library, so lots of health related stuff, and I find that incredibly interesting. I manage to resist most of the time, though. At least I got it set up so I can borrow a book now and then.

I love being able to do library work. This job is more than I ever hoped for.

Nice to see your post, and congratulations on the new job. I can relate to the issues with your grandmother, as my fiance's grandmother (Alex told you that little detail, right?) is likely in her last days.

Anyway, I hear you should be coming across the pond for an extended stay in a few months, so I am looking forward to seeing you again as well as the brightening of Alex's mood that is sure to follow your arrival.

*nods* He said as much. My sympathies.

I look forward to that extended stay myself.

Thanks. I love it so much. I'm so fortunate to have such a wonderful boss and co-workers, I know that much.

I never skipped classes, but that's because my school library wasn't all that interesting. It was tiny. The librarian school library, though...that rocked. I used to go in there and borrow books all the time.

It was a nifty place.
