Okay, I have to know. What filter or whatever are you putting on the bases to make the colours like that? They're bright, yet muted. Is it an exclusion layer?

Yep, I use exculsion layers in most of all icons =]

What sort of coloring did you use for #2? It's amazing. :P

I use exculsion with very dark blue colors, saturation, chanel mixer, selective coloring, etc. It's not so hard :D

It's just that, sometimes, there's like 50 ways to get a similar result, but only one or two methods for the best possible coloring. :P
