FFXIII's ending was as stultifyingly dumb as Star Ocean 3's ending where the party fights the last boss and then WATCHES him PASSIVELY as he destroys the world. It was so aggravatingly stupid that I wanted to break the disc in half. FFXIII had good gameplay, graphics and music, but the plot, for lack of a better word, sucked. It had its moments, but the wooden dialogue, endless whining, and horrible villain motives made the damn thing buckle under the weight of its own pretension. It's crap like that that is making me more and more paranoid about JRPGs having satisfying stories. They seem to be bending over backwards to be incomprehensible and stupid.
