Very fun and lively writing, deftly done. I particularly enjoyed "and proceeded to pounce" and "He was busily gnawing away at Harry's neck while Harry was fruitlessly attempting to cast."
Yay you for not only modding but pinch-hitting for pinch-hitters!
Thank you so much :) You're such a great wordsmith so these compliments really mean a lot to me ♥♥
Oakstone's drabble was perfect for remixing as it telegraphed perfectly what must have happened the night before, so it was pretty easy to go in and just follow that outline.
I was just really glad I was able to create something for her as a "thank-you" for pinch-hitting!
That was the second story you've written? It was so good! And spot on with matching my style!!! I love, love, love that you're so organized that you pulled out Bite from the depths and brought it back to life! Thank you so much -- it truly was my pleasure to do the pinch-hit, I needed something to jump start my writing after months of doing nothing and that was the perfect cure. Off to write more!
If that was only your second fic, my dear, you have a brilliant future! Keep going, please! The world needs more enthusiastic writers with an in-depth knowledge of the characters and I think you qualify, absolutely. I liked this 'drabble' of yours quite a lot. It was sexy and fun and very enjoyable, a breath of fresh air! My only suggestion for future fics is to read bits-and-pieces of your writing aloud to yourself as you go along. I do this, because it enables a writer a chance to hear the pauses where commas or periods would naturally fall, or when one needs to add a word or remove a few. It helps sort out conflicts in tenses, indicates passive versus active verbs, and generally aids an author truly grasp or 'feel' the flow of the work. Sort of an organic process, you see? You're telling yourself a story, so you are, in effect, both author and audience. Hearing the sound of your own voice reading your own words allows you more accessible self-editing, even before you send it off to a beta. The other thing I do--or did (it's been a
