I read the bill (or one version of it, I don't know if it was the most recent), and while I agree it's absolutely NOT got to pass because it will cripple us, that video is... well it's probably what WILL happen but I really wish people on our side wouldn't resort to their side's tactics of fear mongering :|

I hate any of these stupid bills with a fucking passion. We have a government that's screwed itself so badly with its finances, and everyone's talking about cut backs (except for their salaries), and here's something that could ADD millions of dollars to the budget to attempt and enforce it, or a similar bill (because the entertainment industry is a bunch of fucking morons apparently and they will try again). And some people actually think it's a good idea.

There is a LAW (it actually passed, apparently) in the state of TN where if you're caught posting images with the intent of causing psychological grief (you know, posting image macros to troll), you can be fined and/or go to jail. afaik, no one has been affected by it, becasue who he fuck is going to police the internet for that?

As for fear tactics: hey, it's worked for conservatives for so long, and gets them enough attention to keep things from advancing... :p

If there is an actual, logical basis for the fear, then I personally wouldn't consider it "mongering."

It's a terrible bill indeed, though I don't recall the current president supporting such bills before. Hopefully i'm not mistaken cause I know I'd stamp a big fat "VETO" on that bill if it showed up on my presidential desk.

He has to decide who he will side with, and who will get more votes for him next election. I'm starting to change my mind about him, at times, and telling these morons to shut the fuck up would be a good way to help that process along.

I hate these stupid, frivolous bills.
