Another Fork in the Road

Hey all. I am looking into changing locations-I gots to pay off my loans, and need to make at least 40,000 a year just to make my loan payments. Does anyone know of a great Teaching abroad program that pays well, preferably in Spain or Japan?

Thanks,
E

Neither of these are the countries you asked about, but I know for a fact that Beiing offers great packages for American teachers at universities. It was a pretty English-friendly city when I was there in 2005, with a lot of American expats at the university as well as other friendly English-speaking grad students and profs. If you're looking for something that's just for a few years, I might see if Tsinghua University (the "Harvard of China") has anything available--that's where I taught in the summer program ( ... )

A good friend of mine made a lot of money (but he had no student loans) teaching kindergarteners at Jumpstart Educational Institute in Taibei. Might be worth the effort. And then you can learn Chinese! And we can talk in Chinese together!
