... not much, apparently... just wear your hawker-center-going clothes, carry a bag full of library books, plus 4 more NTUC grocery bags, and start running like crazy after the bus that's leaving the bus stop in front of you ^^ (oh, and must be female i guess... like duh :D ( Read more... )

Oh we were preparing for workshops at science centre and one of the kiddies wandering around the centre called my friend "uncle". and he's only 1 year older than me, looks about 15-years-old, and his face was fully visible.

It's okay. I think I got called that once or twice.

Oh yeah, some idiotic zhu1 suan4 teacher called me 'auntie' and 'grandma' if I calculated too slow when I was in Pri 3 (even worse right. And with the entire class laughing at you.) Naturally, I hated her lessons.

ah. i use that term indiscriminately. esp when i was younger. like as long as woman and older than me, i'll call auntie. but now i have new term to call women - 小姐. haha.

yes yes! haha! me too! lol. and i used to feel really bad abt calling ppl auntie (esp if they didn't look all that old), but i really really didn't know what else to call them! (i thought 'jie jie' was kinda weird, so 'auntie' was the only one i was comfortable with lol)... and ya, now i call ppl 'xiao jie' more often :D

LOL! For me it's the opposite. There were times when people came up to me to ask for directions and after I told them if I happen to know the way, they thanked me profusely and said, "Thanks a lot girl! By the way which Primary School are you currently in?" My reaction was ???, and I replied, no, I'm already in a Polytechnic! Haha! It was initially hilarious, but I got used to being called a Primary School kid after some time, coz I get this sort of remarks from passerbys who ask me for directions all the time. Perhaps it's due to my height? haha, I always thought it that way...
Oh, I'm Yi Lin by the way (:
