Annnnnd another. Bee and Scorponok in this one :3

Relaxed

Bumblebee had taken Scorponok to the ocean before, of course. The metal scorpion loved digging and there were some areas of the coast that weren’t beaches; places he could dig without either of them getting in trouble.

But when they found themselves organic on a sweltering day…It was a great excuse to go to a public beach and just relax for the day. Bumblebee was curious about human activities, after all, and Scorponok still liked to play, even in his inferior human body.

Clad in swimsuits they’d gotten Bumblebee-only-knows-where and armed with a bucket and shovel, the two set out for the sandy shores.

Scorponok trailed along behind Bumblebee, gait lilting, the bucket clutched loosely in his hand thumping against his thigh. He did like digging and especially in sand. It was easiest to tunnel through; he still thought fondly on his time in Qatar. Though he was still a bit apprehensive about being out in a human body, he was incredibly excited about spending time in the sand.

Bumblebee was content to let Scorponok do as he pleased. He simply flopped down into the sand and popped in some earbuds, watching lazily as the smaller boy began digging himself into a hole. Bee liked being outside, so long as he had music or a portable DVD player or something to keep himself occupied. He assumed Scorponok would be busy digging for hours…It wouldn’t matter if he didn’t pay too much attention.

The sun felt nice. Bee stretched, rolling over on his stomach and pillowing his head on his arms. It was good to have a day off.

drabble, writing challenge, scorponok, bumblebee
