Here's a little something based on the comment thread in Prowl's recent post :3
Cranky
When Scorponok didn’t feel well, he liked to be alone.
When he first started feeling the draining effects of being alone, he brushed them off as mere annoyance. He could function without Blackout, though it got progressively harder as time went on.
By the time Bumblebee’s cycle friend had arrived in town, it was starting to hit hard.
Scorponok had dug many holes around the garage Bumblebee lived in, all of them heading into different parts of town. Early one morning, he dug the first burrow that would end just beneath the foundation of the garage.
It was dark and cool…A comfortable place to rest until he felt more like himself. He knew it would be better to try and tell Bumblebee what was wrong, but he simply didn’t have the energy. So he curled up in the damp tunnel, offlining his optics and settling into recharge.
“Scorponok.”
It was Prowl’s voice, cool and calm, that jolted him out of recharge, far sooner than he would have liked. He curled in more on himself, ignoring the Autobot.
“Scorponok, come out.”
No.
“Bumblebee is looking for you.”
No.
Somehow, the cycle managed to worm his way into the tunnel and began prodding at Scorponok, trying to coax him out of the comfort of his burrow. Scorponok made a negative sound, broadcasting a string of words. Alone recharge go now rest leave later GO.
“You need to come out.”
NO! Scorponok dove further into the dirt, whirling around and bursting back out immediately in front of Prowl, claws rotating furiously. His tail rattled and he hissed a warning, optics blazing red.
Prowl simply looked at him, a small frown on his face.
Scorponok remained still for a moment, looking right back. Then he sagged, exhausting and stilling his claws.
When he exited the tunnel, Prowl noticed, the scorpion followed sullenly behind him, tail dragging. He seemed to have yielded -for the moment- but wouldn’t go without showing his displeasure -- He was broadcasting wordless bursts of annoyance all the while.
