We're in the middle of a flood. It's kind of like a minor disturbance in the fabric of reality, some people are different and others aren't. They happen pretty frequently around here.

I know it's not exactly an ideal time to show up, but it'll clear up in a few days.

People are either much older or much younger than they usually are. Floods affect people randomly, usually both wardens and inmates, but sometimes only one or the other. This is far from the weirdest one we've ever had.

[Awesome technological madness. Olive smiles, nodding.] Yep, yeah, video is definitely something else it can do. It's got text, audio, video, it can record, apparently it can accidentally turn on and film stuff...it's preset for embarrassment, basically.

And I have no idea what it's technically called. Barge comm, maybe?

You'll get used to the comm device. I had never used one either. I just pressed a bunch of buttons and eventually it worked out for me. A girl named Hayley also showed me how to do the filters.

When you...send messages? Filters are a way to make it so only certain people can read them. Or so certain people can't read them.

Say you want to tell me something but no one else. You would have a filter for Sirius Black and send a message using that private filter. Then I would be the only person reading/seeing/hearing it.
