Some days, he just wants to scream it at her, It isn't my fault. I never asked for this any more than you did.But in the end, he always holds his tongue. Holds his tongue like the well groomed bastard that he is. He might not have a name or any honor in the eyes of noblepeople, but he's learned well from his Lord Father. He doesn't want to do anything to make his father angry with him, so he holds his words around his father's wife ( ... )

Jon doesn't remember it when Sansa was born. His earliest memories are a blur of Robb and sometimes baby Sansa makes an appearance but she's a baby girl and they're little boys and their paths don't cross very often.

He remembers it when Arya came though. And that's part of why she's his favorite sibling, because he remembers being excited for her. Back then, he and Robb shared a bed and they spent many a night debating whether Robb's mother would have another sister or a brother for them. They both decided that they wanted a brother because they already had a sister and Sansa... Sansa was not very interesting sometimes.

He remembers yelling at Maester Luwin when the man only tried to offer him some comfort and running off to the godswood so that no one would find him ( ... )

The sun is setting around them and Jon throws another log on the fire as Arya snuggles up closer to him. It had taken nearly two days of pleading before their father agreed to the idea of the camp out. Jon suspects that Eddard Stark is incapable of saying no to his youngest daughter, and if Arya wants to learn the stars from her half brother, then Arya will learn the stars from her half brother.

I hate Sansa. She's mean, she says, And she makes fun of my stitches.

Jon points out that her stitches are awful and that earns him an elbow to the ribs for his honesty. But she doesn't deny it and goes on to complain about having to learn needlework and how to be a lady when she'd much rather be in the yard with him and Robb and Bran.

No you wouldn't. Robb hits hard. And he doesn't let you win just because you're his blood. I bet he wouldn't let you win because you're a girl either.

I can be fast though. I'm small and fast.

You're a stick, little sister. That gets him another elbow and he messes up her hair in retaliation and she ( ... )
