Kanjuu!

May 23, 2010 00:11

Back from the Kanjuu KAT-TUN concert. Saturday, 2pm show in Sendai.

This is NOT a con report in any way. This is total flail.

Got freaked out about forty minutes before the concert. No details on that. >_<

Ah, we totally didn't take pictures of the seats, I just realized. Oh well. First row stands. The walkway was rather far (farther than I've ever seen) away from the stands. Also, it was a metal grating, and not at all covered, which meant no tunnels for them to run through. At one point, Kanjuu went down the stairs at the back and... ran around outside the walkway, dodging fangirls who were going to their seats from the bathrooms or wherever. Totally amusing.

Let's just talk about Hama-chan first. Near the beginning of the con, he saw both of us holding our Akito and Junta uchiwas, and made these grand gestures pointing at both of us, and then pounding his chest, and basically being like, BE MY FANS. When he came around the second time, Bethany held up her "Hama-chan #3" uchiwa and we flailed at it, and Hama-chan was like :O He made more faces and gestures, being like, WHAT, NO. NOT GOOD ENOUGH, YO. So we grabbed our whiteboard uchiwa and wrote a quick message (somehow I ended up doing all the writing :P).

はまちゃん
ごめんね
♡好きやねん♡

And when he came around the next time, we flailed THAT at him, instead. And he looked at it for a moment, while we made SORRY faces and I bowed a lot (that sorry gesture) and he was finally like LOL, OKAY, OKAY, FINE, I LIKE YOU, TOO. :D And then proceeded to rock out pretending to hold a mic and lip syncing along with whatever KAT-TUN was singing at the moment. LOL, HAMA-CHAN~!
The next time he came around, we'd written a message saying "See you in July!" (well, in Japanese, of course), and he grinned and nodded (but wasn't able to do anything else, since he was singing).
NEXT time he came around, we'd written

ありがとう
♡めっちゃ♡
好きやねん!!

To which he grinned and waved, and then did inai-inai ba, since Bethany was holding that one out, as well. (He'd run by it earlier, but had to be in a certain position and didn't have time to stop and read it - he threw us a... idek what, he just kind of flailed his hand out at us and grinned as he ran past.)

Aww, Hama-chan. SO MUCH WIN. <3

Junta did not see me the first few times he came around, since he was always looking toward the arena side when he was near us, but the third time, he finally saw and grinned and waved happily. He also saw the "see you in July" one and mouthed arigatou and bowed his head slightly and waved.

Junta was being super cute. He spells out the letters with his arms during Peaceful Days, and he was totally the only one. And bouncy! CUUUUTE.

Akito was also fun. He saw Bethany almost immediately and was like YAY! He did inai-inai ba for real, both hands and all this time. He came around again later and as he approached, did this flaily boxing-punching thing at Bethany, who was like "...?" and so he did it a LOT MORE. The girl next to us was like WTF? It was adorable, and Bethany cried. LOOOOOOL. He also did a double-handed rock sign at one point.

At another point, we made hearts at him with our hands, and he clutched at his chest was was like "daw, me? really? nah!" and was generally silly.

Hirano saw our meccha sukiyanen and grinned and waved, and then also did a nice inai-inai ba.

Senzaki stalks around the walkways looking straight ahead and looking like he hates his life. D: Unfortunate.

B.A.D. sang V.I.P., yay! We danced along with them and shouted out the relevant parts, and were totally the only ones in our area who did.
Then Kyotoko (aka Hirano and Senzaki) joined them and sang Here I Am, which I LOOOOOOVE. And then BOYS sang Stay Gold, which I also love a lot. Hama-chan was right in front of us for that part, and while he was mostly listening to Dai-chan sing his part, that was also when he saw the "see you in july" one, I think, and seemed really pleased. They moved off to the back to finish the song, but I think they could still see us doing the dance for Stay Gold, since we were again some of very people around doing it.

Dai-chan somehow managed to never see us. FAIL.

For Kame's solo, it was very nice, although I have a feeling it was hotter with Kisumai, if just because they're probaby a lot more comfortable interacting closely with Kame. Even so, it started out with Akito pretty much crawling up his leg, and Kame biting everyone. He pulled Hirano close (face to face) and bent Hirano's neck to the side to bite him. The others were pretty quick, but finally, Hamachan ended up on his back with his head hanging back off the edge of the stage. Kame straddled him and leaned down to bite his neck, and Hama-chan kind of writhed under him a bit.

...yeah. Um. *cough*

Moving on. At one point, Kame was in front of us, but so were Junta and some of the other Kanjuu, and we just... idk. We have no idea if Kame noticed us or not, because while we both like him, we were otherwise distracted.

We had Junno in front of us a lot, and he kept staring and smiling, and then smiling and waving. We smiled and waved back, and he seemed a bit confused, but not unhappy (I guess because we weren't holding any uchiwas - we put Kanjuu down when it was just KAT-TUN out, nor were we showing much more than a general polite reaction, aka no flailing). Koki saw us, but mostly he saw kito being crazy at Bethany, and then pretended to try and shove Akito off the walkway (which is about FIFTEEN FEET HIGH). Akito looked like he nearly had a heart attack. He was all "HOLY SHIT" and doubled over grabbing his heart and laughing, although he looked kind of freaked out. POOR BOY.

At one point, I caught movement out of the corner of my eye and turned to find Nakamaru on a cart straight behind us (only four rows in front of the carts). I was holding one of the messages for Kanjuu, so I just waved at him with my penlight. He looked surprised when he realized I was foreign, and then Bethany turned around and saw and gave him the rock sign thing we do, which he promptly did back.

During the MC, they made Junta speak Chinese. There were clearly two (or three) fans from Taiwan, 'cause they shrieked real loud when Kame mentioned that Junta'd lived in Taiwan. (PS my friend called me before the con FROM Taiwai... nice surprise.) Anyway, I have no idea what Junta said. :P Kame and Koki proceeded to pretend to speak Chinese in horrible imitation, making noises that sounded vaguely Chinese? About as PC as any white kid doing it. *facepalm* Way to be culturally sensitive. It's like when they do the stupid "foreigner" voice by speaking Japanese really weirdly. Ah well.

They also talked about Kanjuu backing HSJ even though HSJ is younger than most of them. Discussed ages a bit, and how FiVe is backing KAT-TUN, even though they're ages are all mixed (some older than the members, some in between, etc.) although I think KAT-TUN consider FiVe to be their sempai.

Talked about how Senzaki was eating twenty minutes before the con and Kame was surprised by this. Akito said a lot of the chibi Kanjuu drink soda during practice and Kame was like, doesn't that make their stomachs upset when they dance? *l* Idk, I was writing messages on the uchiwas and missed a bunch of stuff. *l*

KAT-TUN had to jump on trampolines and hold an expanding balloon and name animals (Nakamaru's mom, Nakamaru's dad, Nakamaru's sister, Nakamaru's dog, Nakamaru, an elephant...) until it exploded... on Nakamaru. XD

Nakamaru's beatbox was amazing as usual, and I really like his solo medley, especially Answer.

The new slow song KAT-TUN sang at the end was really pretty, too, but I have a feeling it's on the new single. Must get that.

Ueda's solo was really good, I liked that a lot, too.

But anyway, it was a good concert. We got to play with B.A.D. and Hama-chan a lot, and Hirano a little. GOOD TIMES.

ETA: Message sounds weird without Jin. There's a part missing: the MELODY. O_o Very odd sounding. At one point they talked about Dai-chan looking like Ryo. And Hama-chan did impressions of Kame and Nakamaru during photoshoots.

sourangel, remind me if I'm missing things.

concert/show/event, johnnys, obnoxious fangirling, it really happened
