最後もやっぱり君
Haven't posted to LJ in forever, so I figured what the hell. Just got home and opened the new single, so I figured I'd write up my running commentary thoughts as I listen to it the first time.

01. 最後もやっぱり君
I'm a little biased and inclined to like the song because I first heard it performed live in Nagoya. I love the choreo for it, since it's sign language. It ties into the movie concept nicely. I like the little spoken bits. It's nice that they switch the "front" and "back" for a bit. I can't really separate the mental visual of the performance from just the sound, but I guess that doesn't matter. The lyrics are pretty. I like Gaya's "whoa~" bit at the end of the break. The musical arrangement reminds me a bit of My Love, which I love.
02. Last Lover
Not at all what I expected from the title. Expected a slow love song. Hey there, it's dance-y. :o I like! It's got a great beat. I can totally jam to this. I like how the line is electronically extended and held in the background of some parts. I get Girl Is Mine vibes from bits. And ooh, hey, strings and then electric guitar in the break? Count me won over. The breath between く・れよ is slightly odd? Huh
03. On Your Mark
Hey, an English title that makes sense! And is properly spelled! A good jam from the beginning. I'm easy to please. Digging the quick rap lines interspersed. These are my kind of lyrics. Uplifting. Whoa random robotic dance break. There's Mitsu all over my mental imagery with this. And then more standard. The words are squished in in weirdly unexpected ways in places, but not in a bad way? Just in a way that is going to make my life hard when I try to sing it in karaoke.
04. 君のいる街
Christmas? Bells and strings. But picks up pace fast and gets a bit jazzy? It's cute though. Random high note there, hi Gaya. Okay, almost sickeningly sweet sappy lyrics. XD But HEY NIKA. Yay other people get lines in this. <3 Senga gets a whole thing (don't you love my musical terms)! :D This bridge-y bit is almost like a harpsichord effect? Nice. Overall pretty song.
05. KIS-MY-TALK
Do I even want to do this? orz Okay let's try. Oh no wait, it's like 18 minutes. No, I'll leave that for the commute to work tomor... oh. That's longer than my commute. Well anyway, I'll leave this for later. It seems like it's starting out normalish like the one on AAO did, but it's Kisumai, so it's bound to turn ridiculous at some point. XD
Overall, one of the few times that I've like an A-side best? Although often it's hard to pick a favorite on a single. But also I'm predisposed toward liking the ones I've seen performed first, so maybe it's not a fair judgment. ANYWAYS.
