NEWS Winter Concert Tour, 2007-2008

Jan 21, 2008 01:41

First, I will try to separate the shows, but since I wrote the report so much later, it was hard to remember which was which. There might be inaccuracies.

Second, as is my usual, this is just what I remembered, as I remembered. There's no chronological order.

Third, I write these for my OWN memories mostly- you just get to view them. So no complaining about my biases and flailing comments. It's my report, but also my feelings.

START

First of all, I have "Shige is really hot" written down. And there were moments in the show when. Well. Shige is really hot.

Shige and Massu were trying to catch something during weeeek. They'd be looking around searching, one would 'find' something and point it out, they'd both look at the spot and count together, and then JUMP and try to grab at something. They'd both clearly miss, and look all around confusedly, like 'where did it go?' I'm not really sure what "it" was, although I wrote it as bugs in my notes. Could have been anything. Who knows with those two.

Massu was doing his pushups during weeeek during the first show.

Massu, Koyama, and Yamapi were all grinding in a line. Koyama sandwich!

Shige and Tego decided to grind front to front. O_O

That was all near the opening of the concert.
Near the end, during Change the World, they got even more O_O with the fanservice. Tego lay down on his back on the floor and Koyama sat on him, straddling him, then started dancing and grinding like that. Tego held his mic like normal (which would put it horizontal, since he was laying down), and Koyama leaned way down close to sing into Tego's mic instead of his own (so it looked almost like they'd kiss), and said "ikezou," I think.

During the MC for the 2nd show, they were talking about basashi (raw horse meat) a LOT. Mostly it was Shige and Yamapi talking about food. And then something about ramen. And Ryo eating cookies (they mentioned something about kindergarten). Koyama and Shige did some weird pose like an animal, related to the food, but I couldn't figure out what it was.

Also, the NEWS letters had apparently been moved. Earlier shows had them down on the ground, now they were up on the wall.

During the first MC, they mentioned Koyama's bowling thing (and he never actually did the pose/phrase in the actual show, even though he said he would). Talked about what they did last night. Ryo watched Hero's. Which led to them mentioning English. Massu said "What's my name?" and Tego said "Check it out!"
Massu had a massage in Taiwan and the night before?
Shige said he doesn't like to be touched by strangers. XD

During the red vs. blue, all the guns were replaced by metal bars. Tegoshi also hung from the top of the hoop instead of below it. Also, someone forgot a line. Tego sang, then there was an odd pause where I KNOW there's a line, and then Tego sang again. OOPS. :x

The first show ended with Koyama doing his bowling pose, then running off.

Also, at some point in the second show, I think some girl kissed Ryo? Or hit him? It was hard to see. He jumped up and leaned on the railing and basically got mobbed despite security, and suddenly I saw him pull back with a shocked look on his face and he reached up and touched his cheek in surprise.

Ryo threw his shirt into the audience. Shige threw his signboard into a gap and a staff member had to run to retrieve it and bring it back so Shige could throw again. Massu hit the back wall. Also threw somewhere, and then made a face, 'cause it clearly hadn't gone where he intended.

Fujiie saw me. Everyone was sort of facing off to the left (for Yamapi I think) and no one was looking straight down at him, so I grinned and waved and he smiled and lifted his arm to wave back.

I surprised some random junior by waving and he lit up. I love when they do that. XD

Tego saw us, too. He was up on his platform for NEWS NIPPON and he stopped doing the hand motions so that he could point at our uchiwas and wave. Mine said "New Yorker" in Japanese on it.

There were apparently some special guests in sunglasses and girls were going crazy. So says Bethany. I missed that part.

Ryo talked about Uchi again and people screamed, and then we discovered Ryo knows nothing about his own drama.

Koyama kept forgetting it was 2008 now. The night before he went to his sister's house to play with his nephew and went to bed at 2:30.

Shige talked about going to the pool and ear pressure or something in MC#1 and said it was scary and mimed being underwater and flailing a bit.

First show, Ryo did a handstand and fell over, then kept trying to kick back up and flailed a lot and couldn't. Finally gave up and rolled over. Second show he was great.

Second show, all the juniors were out dancing in their places, except this one who was just walking along behind them all. He finally got to a blank spot and stopped and then I just realized he was LATE. HAH. He was actually fairly slick about it, but I still noticed.

Second show, Ryo and Shige both climbed up behind the letters. and Ryo and Tego went into the audience.

Oh, yes. First show, Tego was REALLY LOUD. The mic balance was off. Because when he came in with his harmony, it was like, HELLO TEGO WHOA. And he's already pretty loud. It actually almost hurt at some points.

And I noticed yet AGAIN that Tego just isn't the shortest. He isn't. He's little, yeah, but others are smaller. Like Ryo. And maybe Massu, although it's hard to tell.

Massu's wire work the first show was shaky. He sort of got stuck and only flipped four times. The second show was smooth and he managed eleven flips.

Some random girl stopped me to ask where I'm from after the first show.

Shige's Sanshirou pants weren't on properly for the first show and he had to HOLD THEM UP the whole time.

Aaaaand that's the end of that. :)
