Good luck with your conference! I hope you have a good time, make some connections, and learn some interesting tid bits.

I still think using a lap top in the airport is neat and high tech. I want a lap top so I can do that too!

WHAAAAAAA you were here in the airport and I didn't know, and I didn't come and see you!?!?! This is outrageous! I would have done everything short of actually buying a ticket to get past security to come see you!! How long was your layover? When was it? Ugh, I wish I could have seen you. =(

And yeah, you should write on here. You inevitably have interesting thoughts to share, even if you don't find them particularly interesting. That's the thing about blogs...even what seems mundane to you can be terribly interesting for those reading it.

Haha, I had a feeling I might get that reaction from you! Well, I would have let you know, but I only had about an hour or hour and a half layover. And it was at like 8 at night. I guess that probably would have been enough to say hi and maybe have a drink at the airport (I found out when I got there that they apparently have a restaurant outside of security for this very purpose) but I didn't know that I could do that at the time. So...sorry :( I have another layover there of a similar length on my trip back, but it's in the middle of the day on Monday.

And after seeing that picture you posted of Penny...wasn't her computer in the form of that book? THAT'S why you don't think your laptop is as cool as her computer, Ms. Librarian.

Yeah...you're right. I think that has a lot to do with it. But I don't like Palm or Blackberry type things either, or those silly Kindles or digital readers! And those are sorta more like books than a laptop.

Either way, until they look like a book and act like a book, it's just not going to be as cool as Penny's.

Hey!!!!!!!! I got your card!!!! I got it about a week ago, but I have been sort of on the run, which is to say, I kind of sort of got deported. Well, not really deported, but I had to leave the country. It's a long story.

Is there a good time to give you a call when I might be awake (I'm 8 hours ahead of UNC time)? You and I have a lot to catch up on.
