My new favorite commercial (spotted whilst watching Dancing With the Stars on Monday): Quaker Oatmeal commercial where the guy's dressed in a suit, getting ready to leave for work, and he straps this thing on his back.  His wife comes over and attaches two cylinders of Quaker oatmeal into what you now realize is a jet pack.  He steps outside....and ( Read more... )

Today at work, I vacuumed mold off of NC state auditor's records from the 1960s and 70s.  I got to wear a lab coat and gloves and use special tiny vacuum attachments and everything.  Vacuuming mold.  This is not complicated or glamorous.  And yet, I really like being a librarian :)
