Humiliation junction

So last night, after deciding that you know who (not Voldemort) is not going to call, I beat myself up over acting like a hormonal idiot (not that I neccesarily did) last Friday. I was thinking about itand wondering...... why do we feel humiliation after the fact

There's a quote that Ben keeps telling me-
"Humans are the only animals that blush, or have any need to."

Or something close to that. Shame, embarrassment, humility, are all effects of our culture and the enforcement of social norms.

Still, it's hard not to beat yourself up when you're rejected by one or more people you cared about in a short timeframe.
