So, my midterm (due 11/5) is nearly done. I could have gotten out of today's assignment, too, if I'd wanted to. (It was to design a logo, but I've had one for a while from another class, which he liked.) The midterm is to sketch/draw/finalize the layout for our websites and put together a powerpoint showing them. The instructor asked me to do

Make one site the way they want it, and make your own the way you want. Send the school-version to places you're not really interested in, and send your version to the places you want to work at. Make push your site even further to the extremes of the design that it already has.

Without taking some risk and standing out, well, you're not going to stand out.

i've kept my old site, and will continue working on it. it's just such a waste of time to be doing all of this and having my instructors recommend me for a career i actually don't have an interest in that it annoys me.

the old one needed work yet, of course. i'm likely to combine elements from that one and the one i'm working on now for a final site later on.

i'm just generally annoyed. (and confused. to me, bright colors aren't tan, brick, white, and black. but what do i know?)
