Still no computer. What is my whole liiiife. Well, I do have am office computer, but I don't feel comfortable doing personal stuff there since I'm pretty sure there are intense security monitors on absolutely every piece of technology at my workplace. Mehhh. I feel like I have so much that I want to share but I'm too lazy to type it all out on this ( Read more... )

Aww. Believe it or not, I was just thinking about you yesterday and wondering if you had a computer yet. *hugs* Yeah, typing anything more than a few lines on the phone is incredibly frustrating. Kudos to you for managing an entry this long.

And wow, your students thinking you have bugs and dirt in your clothes. O_o Somehow it's simultaneously hilarious and ... disturbing?

Aww, thanks for your concern! Yeah, I think I will be approaching the moment of truth next week... Can I fix my computer or will I just have to buy a new one... argh argh.

And yeah, dude, I don't even know WHAT their image is of my lifestyle. Maybe because I told them that I lived partway up the mountain, they think I roll down it every day or something?

LOL YOUR STUDENTS! I actually do very little laundry when it comes to things I wear out. When I'm home I live in PJs and sweats so I really wear my "real" clothes a small percentage of the time. I'm really good with washing the stuff that's actually on my body forever. PLUS, some clothes are super annoying to wash. I just found out my favorite skirt is dry clean only (lol I've had it for two months and I only just find this out after wearing it to death). IT'S NOT VISIBLY DIRTY YET. FEBREEZE IT IS.

Okay, thank you! I'm so glad it's not just me! But yeah, exactly, when I'm at school, like... 1) I'm sitting on my ass in my office in front of a computer or 2) I'm standing in a classroom in front if a board. In terms of dirtying my clothes, my biggest enemies are chalkdust and whatever I'm eating for lunch that day. Now that the weather is getting colder, I wear pants basically every day but I only have two pairs so I wear them two or three times each between washings. Since nobody has a clothes drier in this ENTIRE COUNTRY AHHH washing clothes is kind of an all day affair so it's not even like I COULD wash my pants every day even if wanted to.

And things that are dry clean only... ha... ahahaha. To me that is code for "spot clean and then Febreeze." Just. I mean. Right????! Do people really take $20 shirts to the cleaner's once a week? Is that a grown up thing? IDK. Usually my rule of thumb is once it starts looking limp and depressing, THEN I shall take it to the cleaner.
