well, the square gives the feeling of a window which is ok. but since the bg colour is the same as the heart it kills the contrast and the overall shape of the hearthead....
i really really really dislike red and yellow together.. mainly because red makes you stop and yellow makes you hungry and it also, duh, reminds me of mcdonalds, but i realize that it's personal preference. it seem that the bottom is ftw but i agree with most people's changes.
i have my information split on front and back, but only because i have my name really big on the front.. i'll show you once i get them printed. anyway, i dislike the white background of the bottom, however, it makes everything pop/stand out (like the inside of the trumpet, as said earlier by someone below me.. haha)
i love white letters on a colored background. in fact, i prefer it. i think it's fun and makes the words/name/whatever is written stand out. it's almost like you should mesh the two together. haha. good luck!

i like the one on the bottom. i know maybe this isn't a compliment to a lot of people, but it looks more "mainstream." also i think business cards that are any color other than white on the FRONT anyways, is a no-no in the business world. having a white front and yellow back is MORE memorable to me, also you know yellow and red are hard on the eyes to a lot of people. also be mindful of the size of the text. i cannot STAND having a business card from someone where i have to squint to see their phone number correctly.
Nope, not too late! (I mean, it's "due" for class tomorrow, but I'm not getting it mass-printed yet)
I've actually tried the circle thing, except it looked like a weird spotlight--and I just didn't like it too much. I haven't tried semicircle or other shapes, so I'll definitely play around with that... Thanks!!!
As an artist, I love the top one. I like the white text on the red background, and the use of negative space where the heart touches the red.
But as a business card, I have to agree with everyone else and go with the bottom. It looks more professional, and the inside of the trumpet stands out more. :D
