it was kinda cool reading the Synchronization part because I'm a video "ripper" for an iRC group so I know about all the frame rates and shit...
is VITC in anyway related to IVTC (inverse telecine)?

I know IVTC is just educated interlaced frame removal to restore 29.97fps footage back to 25fps, but it sounds similar so I'm just wondering.
