This is a f(x) post

As you all know,F(x) is a rookie group.I've been observing F(x) thus far and I think it's interesting to note the difference in the fans' love in the international arena so far vs screentime. As F(X) is a young group,it's popularity for the members have not yet reached the state of SNSD where underrated members would have trouble climbing up the ( Read more... )

Don't want you to get discouraged by the lack of comments. I've been falling into f(x) fandom recently so this post excited me beyond reason when I saw it, but I've just been a mite bit busy to formulate a proper reply.

Actually..after watching the subbed SGB episodes,I'm not really quite sure if Krystal is really as disimilar as her sister as I thought she was.

At a "superficial" level, they seem to have many similarities in mannerisms and such. But yeah,Krystal's words don't seem to be as sharp as her sister's at all.

I dunno, they're both pretty reserved as well.Or maybe it's just all the KrySica threads on fx's various forums getting to me XD

Argh, sorry I haven't made a proper comment here yet, I still haven't found the time or brainpower to really get it out, but I have made a slight dance analysis of them before based on this video.

Amber dances it straight like a man, Krystal puts her height to good use like a real model with that confident dismissive air, Luna has a real attitude and fire to her dancing, Victoria is grace incarnate, and Sulli of course manages to make it cute. XD
I'd say that at least Luna and Victoria(possibly Amber) have the raw dancing talent, it's just that they haven't been trained as long.

I'd love to see Fx do a proper dance solo to judge, but it does seem right that Luna/Vic and Amber have more raw dancing talent then the other two.

Yeah,I think Vic has problems transitioning from doing chinese dances to hip-hop/pop style dances, which are kind of different. Her moves on Nu Abo still seem to lack a little definition. She herself mentioned that she found these sort of dances tough. She studied at Beijing dance academy afterall,so I want to see her dance what she's comfortable with too.

I'd rather see Sulli explore doing some real acting since she seems pretty talented in that area instead of talk-rapping in their songs.Krystal learnt jazz and hip hop,and her style seems more of the former?Or it just felt like she executed the moves according to the timing well but without the attitude.XD

Get your long hair back,SooJung!<3

Victoria: I agree that it seemed like Victoria was gonna become an underdog so sudenly her appearing everywhere was a surprise. She does have the most schedule flexibility though as the other members are still in school. I wonder if she drinks ( ... )

Sulli: I thought she was going to be their silvertongue character with how much damage control she does on Inki as an MC, but on Hello f(x) that side of her was nowhere to be seen. I think she'd be a method actor but she hasn't learned to keep her "pro mode" on or to cultivate her natural personality. She was quirky, but not in a concrete way like SNSD is, and I still can't quite get a handle on her non-pro mode personality. You are right that she does have that high level of self-confidence kind of?(I definitely got that vibe during the Thai lesson in Hello f(x)) Except that it most certainly was not present during her japanese fail at the BoF promo event, poor thing. XD
Yeah, I did kind of get a divaness too off of her journal entry. But it did come off as a backhanded insult of the wota worshipping attitude. <3 So agree about how it's not that she takes pride in her looks ( ... )

Sulli: I get the feeling that a lot of her self love comes from her self awareness of her own prettiness. She isn't afraid to admit that she likes attention for being pretty, lol.

I also get the feeling that she's probably either bold/adventurous or even rebellious (or at least you can always interpret it this way).In this way she doesn't have the typical traits you'd expect of her, though she's probably bratty/diva-like as you said.

Hm.F(x) has a dysfunctional sense of humour?xD Never thought of it that way.I get what you're talking about though.Or maybe it's like what the ~meaning of F(x)~,changing around the X easily or whatever (bs-ing here, lol).

It's kind of like how Yoona is aware of her popularity and why she has that popularity. Unlike Yoona though, Sulli hasn't learned to parley that awareness into comedy. With the journal reading it was Krystal making the funny inflections. Sulli will need to be careful in the future with how she handles that awareness because unlike Gyuri it does come off more genuine, and the narcissistic character really only works when people recognize it as an act ( ... )

The Krystal looking like everyone else theory remind me of the stuff that I read about prettiness actually being having more "average" features.Although I wouldn't call Krystal's features average but they do make her look generic at times.

This probably also supports why Yoong is considered so beautiful?XD
