Is It Too Much?
"There's the couple with most beautiful smiles!" Exclaimed the interviewer as he walked closer to the pair.
Brant and Peta laughed before Peta clarified that they're not a couple.
"Such lies!" The interviewer gasped.
Brant laughed before saying, "I wish we were!"
"Then you two should make it --" The interviewer was cut off when a friend of Peta's made it obvious that her and Brant were needed elsewhere.
"We apologize for that. It seems we are needed. Great interview though." They both said the rushed goodbye.
"Thanks Mark." Peta said after they passed a safe distance away from interviewers, "That was too close."
"Maybe if you guys were just honest to the press, they wouldn't have to keep digging that much." Mark teased.
"But we are honest," Peta said.
"Well, in technicality --"
"Labels, labels, whatever. It doesn't matter, right Brant?" Peta asked as she looked up to Brant.
He smiled before leaning down for a kiss, "as long as I still get to do that, then of course not!"
Mark could only shake his head at the strange pair before him.

Flashback
"Peta," Brant uttered in between kisses.
Peta only moaned into the heated kiss as she tried to pull Brant's shirt off of him.
Brant, realizing she's not gonna listen to him any time soon, place his hand on the small of her back and flipped their position.
"Peta." He said firmly as he pinned her arms down at her sides.
Peta groaned and sighed in frustration, "What is it, Brant?"
"Who's the guy you were with earlier today? Before you came to see me?"
"You mean Liam?"
"I guess..."
"He's the other guy I'm dating."
Brant shot her a confused look. He's conflicted whether or not he should voice out that he thought they were exclusively dating. Instead, he asked, "Who else are you dating...?"
"Just you, Liam, and Scott."
"I'm kind of confused, Peta."
"Open relationships." She said short and to the point.
Brant was a little surprise because he's never encounter anyone in open relationships before. He's always been in monogamous relationships. He doesn't know how he should feel about this.
"Does it bother you...?" Peta asked after realizing how quiet Brant's been.
Brant shot her a small smile, "Of course not! It's just something new so I was trying to process it. That's all."
"So you're okay with us seeing each other and other people?"
"Shouldn't that be every guy's dream?" Brant shot her a dorky smile making her laughed.
"You're so adorable," She said as she pulled him in for a tongue clashing kiss, "Now take off your shirt."
*****
"Janel!" Brant exclaimed happily as he approached her with a quick kiss on the cheek and tight hug, "I feel like i haven't seen you in forever."
The two are on a lunch date. They're seated outside under a patio umbrella enjoying the LA sun since it's noon and almost 70 degrees Fahrenheit out.
"It's your fault, Brant." Janel joked.
"Ever since you started filming for Dancing With The Stars, i totally never see you anymore."
"Yeah, I'm sorry. Even after the show ended, we still have so many events to attend."
"But hey, I don't blame you. You and your girl are adorable. I'm mad how you never told me you started dating
your dance partner."
"Technically, we're not dating." Brant said, trying to hide the disappointment on his face.
"Technically...?"
"We're in an open relationship."
"Hmm, how modern," Janel joked.
Brant stayed indifferent to the comment.
"Brant, does it bother you?"
"No, course not,"
"Honestly, Brant."
"I don't want it too."
"Then you should tell her."
Brant groaned, frustratingly, "It's just, I feel like such a little bitch." Brant said covering his face in the process.
"You are not! You're just a guy who happens to have feelings unlike the rest of the dickheads in Hollywood."
Brant laughed, Janel followed.
"Thanks Janel, you're the best."
"Honestly though, Brant, you should tell her how you feel."
"How? She's dating two other guys excluding me and I am dating only her because I want to date just her. Wow... I am a little bitch."
Janel slapped his arm, "Stop Brant! You're not! I mean, she's gorgeous so who wouldn't want her as their own? Maybe she's waiting for one of you to make her realize which one is the only one she wants. It should be you and it could be if you stop thinking of yourself in that way!"
"You think so?"
"Yes! Where's that confident, always beaming his perfect smile everywhere, Brant Daugherty? That's all you need to prove to her that you're just putting your foot down. You not saying anything makes you a little bitch."
Brant laughed, "You really give the best pep talks, Janel."
Janel laughed, "That's why lunch is on you."
"You got it."

"Hey babe!" Peta said as she entered Brant's apartment.
Brant came up to her to give her a quick peck on the lips and helped her carry the grocery bags.
"Wow, did you buy the entire organic section?" Brant teased.
"Ha ha, very funny. Looks like you can make yourself dinner."
"I'm kidding, baby! Don't be like that." Brant said with a pout.
"Ugh, you're lucky you're so cute." Peta said before pulling him in for a deep kiss.
"If you keep this up, I don't even think you'll need to make dinner." Brant said huskily as he picked Peta up and made his way towards his room with her legs wrapped around his waist.
Peta smiled into the kiss, "Mmm, maybe not..."

"You're so beautiful," Brant said breathily as he moved Peta's hair from her cheek and slid his hand from her bare shoulder, down the length of her arm, and then intertwining their hands.
Peta merely smiled at him. Tiredness still evident on her face from their late night activities.
"Peta..."
"Hmm?"
"Be my girlfriend -- just mine."
A/N: Writing for my friend again... Hmm, how you guys like the open ending? Or should there be a part two? Haha, we'll see about that...
