Cabbage and Cucumber Salad

Dec 01, 2015 06:55

This cabbage and cucumber salad is a staple salad in my family. It’s very simple and light. It pairs really well with barbecue food. But I honesty think it can pretty much go with any meal. This is a very common salad amongst Slavic people, therefore there are many different versions of it. My version is pretty basic. I love that the ingredients in this recipe are ingredients that most people usually have at all times. Not only is this salad simple to make, it’s also very inexpensive.

Ingredients:

1 small cabbage
1 cucumber
4 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
1 green onion
3 tbsp Vinegar
4 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp Salt

Ingredients

1. Chop the cabbage into thin strips and place into a bowl.

Chop the cucumber, dill, and green onion and place into the bowl of cabbage.

Add the vinegar, salt, and olive oil to the bowl and mix to combine.
