Prompt table

Nov 27, 2007 01:15

Because I have nothing else to do with myself (yeah, that's me, being sarcastic), I decided I would try one of these challenge tables and to make it even more fun, I'm going to do it in a fandom I've never written in before, and just because I didn't think that would be challenging enough, I am going to do them mainly as crossovers. Be scared, be ( Read more... )

Guess I'm not familiar with any of him. Tell me a bit more, and also where to find your story(ies). Haven't heard from you in a while, but I know you're busy.. And with December coming up, likely will be even more so.

I keep hoping you'll find time to sleep.

You can answer by regular e-mail.. easier for me to fine. Haven't figgered out all the paths around this live journal thing yet.

Best regards,
Jim

The Dresden Files is a series (up to 9 now) of novels written by Jim Butcher, still unfinished with a new novel due out in April, I think although don't quote me on that. It was also made into a 1-season show on the Sci Fi network but it was not picked up for renewal. Too bad, because it was fairly well done. I think there are still reruns. I first saw it on TV but really fell in love with it when I started the novels ( ... )

I've only seen Dresden - the TV show, and I've been meaning to find copies of the books for ages but even so I think I'll really enjoy this crossover. ('cause Supernatural rox my sox! any idea of when new episodes are back?)

Anyway, that's not what I first intended to ask you. I wanted to know where you found your prompt table. I've wanted to try one for a while but I don't know where to look for a generic one that would work for any fandom.

Thanks for writing! New episodes of SPN return on the 24th of April -- not too far away! I hope you do enjoy the stories, although the books are so totally different from the TV show that it really is almost like a separate entity, which is why people are so careful to specify. I highly recommend the books. They are very, very well-written.

As for my prompt table, I found it at "fanfic 50" and they have 10 different tables, you just pick the one you want and you can do varying levels and some with art and some without, etc. I know there are a ton out there, but I really liked this one (#10) for SPN, because the prompts (as you can see) are really almost intuitive for the fandom. It is really easy to make the stories fit in with the prompts. You can find the link to the community on my user profile page, or my friends page if you skim down because any post on that site shows up on my friends page. But, like I said, I know there are others.

Hope that helps.
