I like your take on Luna's pragmatism; it resonates. :)

I'm glad it worked with not-so-ditzy Luna!

I like how action-packed this is. We don't often see warrior!Luna, but she surely exists. I like how practical she is, too, encouraging Mr. Malfoy to take a wand from one of the bodies if necessary and then thinking to herself that she knows where two are.

Luna may be indifferent to her own welfare, but she has a real concern for others, and in a context like this it may be fairly obvious what drives her. I'm glad you liked this version of Luna, with her mind on the job.

I made a list of things to comment on.

1. Go Badgers and distroy from within! Yes!
2. I liked how Luna saw Snape micromanaging Hogwarts.
3. Illiterate Alecto. At first I was surprised but now that I think it through it makes sense. Why read when you can flick your wand?
4. Unfaithful!minerva its always unpleasant to see her. I hope she comes to appologize.
5. That bit about Lucius needing glasses was a hoot.
6. I think the Wizemgomt is wise to ban Snape from teaching. His skill was obviously wasted there. pension and research thats the ticket.

Thank you mystery author.

Thanks for the list of stuff you found interesting/enjoyable.

I'm sure that Hufflepuffs have their own flavour of resistance, and it's probably more useful than an adolescent Gryffindor's. For one thing, they have a good grasp on cooperation! The Minerva of DH always saddens me; couldn't she have taken a while to think things through - not least Dumbledore's penchant for keeping everyone in the dark about what's going on? I'm inclined to blame that on JKR rather than the character - but she is a Gryffindor (*sigh*).

What a thrilling adventure! I wonder what Voldie saw when he attempted to legilmeny - dancing Snorkacks and Humdingers?? I love how Luna hides her sly practicality under the veneer of loonyness. And pragmatic Lucius is most enjoyable.

Thank you! I enjoyed writing this Luna, very down to earth under all the airy-fairy. I think she must have treated Voldemort to an extreme version of surface!Luna, with something extra to convince him she could be useful, which was probably better based on what she really is. Having-learned-better!Lucius is always interesting to write.

this is awesome! I'm a big fan of alternate perspectives on the Final Battle, and I love the way the events were transformed just enough to allow for the happy ending for Snape and Luna. (Or the happy beginning, as it were)
Yay!

Thanks for letting me know what you enjoyed. I like to stick with canon - where I can, but some aspects of canon just cry out to be fixed. So I went for the happy beginning.
