Well, you had me at "chicken blood," and it just got better from there.

"It is indeed." His fingers closed firmly around hers. "I'm not going to ride on a Hippogriff, and I'm not going to smoke ground Billywig stingers, no matter how much you would like to see me levitate around the fair grounds and giggle hysterically. Anything else, I can deal with."

So very Snape-ish, and so well done. I absolutely loved the plot itself -- most unique and so fitting for the two of them. The gentle, natural progression from healer/patient to friends to lovers was a complete treat! This is one I'll definitely read again. Thank you for this wonderful tale!
