I'm fascinated by your exploration of the magical world; you always manage to find something new to examine, leaving your reader wanting more-and it's so good to see Snape, Luna, and Auri settled! :D

Thank you so much. I have to keep exploring, because I find it endlessly fascinating. *g*

And thank you for doing the fest and giving me a chance to write this.

Oh, this is really lovely, Mystery Author! I have no idea who you are (I can never guess anonymous authorship), but I was so pleased with how seriously you took my requests, and...if we don't already know each other, you're wonderfully psychic where including my favorite elements was concerned. I particularly liked Severus still being in friendly contact with his former Heads of House colleagues, but everything you included works so well: Severus's relationship with his mother (not overly sentimental, but there's definitely love there), Luna immediate love for Auri (and on an unrelated note, the way she employs mentions of magical creatures as metaphor, because yes...it's not all just rambling), real world concerns (the role of Squibs in the wizarding world, child abuse, etc).

And the developing relationship between Severus and Luna is pretty lovely too. He's past the worst of his anger and open to the possibility of a relationship, at least with somebody like Luna, about whom he carries little baggage. And Luna has no lingering ( ... )

Hah! I wondered - just today - if the author of this story might be you! *g*

Yay! Thanks again, m'dear. :)

You did? *beams*

I'm so glad you liked this story. Your prompt and your requests sparked this story idea almost immediately, although I did spend quite a lot of time reading through your recs and stories trying to figure out what you enjoyed.

You'd mentioned a populated world and, for Severus, that seemed to mean the other teachers (and Heads) from Hogwarts. I couldn't imagine them just letting him slip out of their lives again, not after that last year of DH.

And the role of Squibs has always been something that I wanted to write about. I'm grateful your prompt gave me a chance to do that.

Oooh, this is lovely. I loved Eileen and the development of Severus's and Luna's relationship. The background you put into the story is very neat, too. Thank you for sharing. :D

Thank you. The family theme was a lot of fun to write.

I enjoyed that! All the characters were wonderful. I love when Snape is still in touch with his mother in fic, or working with her directly, and they were both so nicely brittle. :) Luna was also great, and I liked your plot. :)

Thank you so much. I can't imagine Snape and his mother being anything but brittle, given how much has happened between and to them.
