so it looks like I have more than one post in me today. While at the conference we had a wine tasting evening, that just didn't satisfy (let's just say there is a reason Swabian wines don't get exported) and it was with a repeat wine tasting partner as well, so now its got me all in a mood to go tasting. Oh, and there's this lovely lovely store in Tuebingen, where I once upon a time stuided for a year. Anyway, we made it back to Tuebingen one day for a bit of shopping, and I stopped in at Weines und Feines. I have to say, I appreciate it even more now than I did back then. It's a store that has fine wines, but also lots of things under their own label like cognac, schnaps, whisky, and 6 kinds of grappa. Now, before you get too excited Sarah, I didn't buy any grappa. Not enough room in my hand luggage. But I did get some Schnaps of a particularly local variety, so you must come taste that! It's sooo fun, you pick out a bottle, they fill it from the barrel, and then put the right sticker on it. Very cool.
