CHAPTER 17
“Koki how was it?” Tatsuya asked his friend as he sips his coffee.
“I think everything’s doing well, still glitch free I say” replied by his manager as he slumps on the sofa.
“Good to hear that. Hope everything go smoothly. Though I still anticipate bumps here and there” the eldest TOUCH member ponders.
“We will be updated by our accomplices. Don’t worry we will know the status of our little scheme in real time” assured Koki
“That’s great! Okay. I hope they’re doing their best”
Then Koki’s ringtone was heard “I told you here’s their report now”
“Hello”
“Hello Tanaka” the person in the other line acknowledge
“How was it?”
“Going smoothly”
“Status?”
“First stage is clear… Second stage is great and clear… Lastly, third stage is on progress…”
“On progress?”
“Yes. Definitely a fine progress”
“Okay. I’ll inform that to him. Thanks” and then Koki ended their conversation
“What did they say?” query Tatsuya.
“They said stage one is clear and stage two is great and third stage is on progress” explained by the latter.
“I hope we don’t mess up. I mean us and our target” the singer sighed.
“Don’t worry. If in case that happens we already had a back plan for that” guaranteed Koki
“I really hope so. Coz if that happen it will definitely compromise our careers and TOUCH as well”
“You worry too much Ueda, chill ok” his manager assure him and this made Tatsuya to just nod his head in agreement, though in the back of his mind there’s still a small voice of doubt.
“By they way, Yuichi and Junno said that they’ll visit you today.” Koki instantly change the subject and look at his friend.
“Really, that’s great! I’m looking forward on seeing them. It’s been a while” Tatsuya smiled
“Well, you’re lucky they’ll be here in a matter of 1 hour”
But their conversation was interrupted by soft knock on the door to which Ueda is currently staying.
So Koki stood up and open the door revealing their two friends who wears a big smile on their faces.
“Hey Yu and Junno. I though you'll be here in one hour? How are you? Come on in” invited Koki as he steps aside to let the others enter the room before shutting the door behind him.
“Our travel time takes less time than we anticipated, that's why we're early." Yuichi answered as he took off his shoes.
We’re doing great! Hello Tat chan. It’s been a while” greet Junno.
“Yeah, how are you Junno? Yuichi?” asked by the TOUCH singer
“We’re doing good” answered by Nakamaru “and how are you?”
“I’m doing fine, thanks. By the way, how’s my little brother? Ueda questioned.
“He, doing great actually, not as whinny as when you left” laugh Taguchi
“Great! Then Jin’s taking good care of him as he promised”
“Yeah… He really does… He’s doing excellent work actually…” Nakamaru confirmed
“Are they doing well? Are they finally getting along? Have they fixed their petty, small and funny problem?” the older brother pressed on the topic.
“Yes, they did… If I say so myself” agreed Junno
Abruptly, Ueda stood up and went to his room and after a several minutes, he once again went out carrying his suit case.
“Where are you going Tat chan?” came a confuse question from Koki
“Isn’t it obvious? I’m going home” a determined answer from Ueda
“Why?”
“Because…”
“Because what?”
“Because it’s time to go home” Tatsuya said as he carries his suitcase on the door. “I’ve already done my part so that my stupid brother, name Kazuya and my stupid friend name Jin can sort out their feelings for each other by letting Jin stay and take care of my baby brother. So now it’s time to go home right?”
“Why don’t you give them few more days? Besides, next week you already reach your so called 2 month Okinawa trip. So why bother going home right now” Yuichi reasoned out
“But I want to go home now” contradict Ueda
“Why in a hurry?” questioned Taguchi
“Because, I miss my dear brother and I’m tired of pretending that I’m at Okinawa when the truth is I’m just spending my so called vacation here at Koki’s messy house for the sake of my brother’s happiness.”
“Are you complaining that my house is not good enough place to stay for a vacation?” argued by a pouting Koki that made his 3 friends laugh.
“Ok, ok…I’ll wait till next week before coming home. Are you happy? And I don’t want Kazu chan to be sad because his days with Jin were cut short.”
Then he looks at Taguchi and Yuichi “By the way, I would like to say thank you.”
“Huh? Thank you for what?” asked by the oldest of them
“For helping us, being our accomplice and reporting to us the progress of Kazuya and Jin’s relationship” with that Tatsuya bow his head causing both Nakamaru and Taguchi to blush with embarrassment.
“Tat chan, what are you saying. You’re our friend and both of them are also our friends. So it’s our choice to help you guys” smiled Junno
“Anyway, still I thank you. I want to see my brother happy that’s why this is the only thing I think of” explained by the older brother
“Hey what friends are for?” cried by the 3 people in front of him, causing him to give them a big and warm smile in return.
‘Kazuya I’ll see you next week. And I hope you’ll be honest enough to tell me the real status between you and Jin’ Ueda thought before dragging his things back to his room once again.
