Chapter 19: Dilemma
“I can’t believe this is happening” Toma sighed as he plops down besides Ryo and watched as Jin and Tatsuya completely ignore each other while preparing for their up coming event.
“I knew it… Tatsuya has something on his sleeves when he apologized to those two” Ryo muttered but loud enough to be heard by the person next to him.
“Are you sure Tat chan did it, I mean he and Kame chan are in good terms already”
“That’s what he wants them to believe but somehow he can’t accept the fact that Kame chan chose Jin and decided to take revenge”
“But what if he’s not the one who did it? What if it’s some paparazzi or something?”
Ryo groan and turn his full attention to Toma
“Are you siding with Tatsuya on this matter? He’s trying to rip those two apart and he’s succeeding. It’s unforgivable and yet you’re defending him.”
“Chill man, I’m not siding with anyone here. I’m just saying that he may not be the one who did it.”
The Osaka man glared at his friend but didn’t further comment on it. He stared intently at Tatsuya trying to decipher his actions.
“Tatsuya I hope my assumptions are wrong. I don’t wanna think you’re that selfish to take away somebody else’s happiness just to satisfy yours. That’s so unfair.”

“Jin don’t you think you’re being unreasonable?” Tomohisa asked as he sat on the couch at Jin’s living room.
“What’s unreasonable Pi? I don’t think I did something wrong. If in case you forgot I’m the victim here.”
“Are you sure you’re the only one? Do you think Kame chan and Tat chan are the real culprits?”
“They are back-stabbing supposed to be best friend and lover who made me believe I could trust them”
“How could you say that? You didn’t even bother talking to Kame chan. You just walked out on him and rushed to my apartment without even listen to his side of story.”
“And listen to his lies?”
“Then I must say I agree with what he said… You Don’t LOVE him as much as you think you do.”
Jin starts to lose his patience. How could his REAL best friend say these things to him? He’s suffering because of his lover or should he say ex-lover’s infidelity and he’s the one getting all these lectures.
“How could you say that Pi you know I love him! I love him so much that it fucking hurts. I love him so much but now I hate him even more.”
“Don’t you think hate is such a strong word to use for someone you love or anyone?”
“I don’t love him anymore Pi. He betrayed me.”
“How can you be so sure he did when you didn’t even heed what he has to say? If you love him you should at least try to listen but maybe what you feel for him is not love after all. Coz you don’t trust him enough to hear his explanation.”
“PI HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT? I LOVE HIM SO MUCH BUT NOW I’M NOT SO SURE IF I STILL DO COZ OF WHAT HE DID… HE SAID HE LOVES ME AND YET THOSE PICTURE SHOWS THAT HE LOVES TATSUYA MORE SO PLEASE DON’T BE SO HARD ON ME. YOU’RE THE ONLY ONE I CAN TURN TO RIGHT NOW…”
Tears starts to fall as Jin suddenly embrace his best friend. He feels like dying as of the moment. This is the first time he can truly say that he had fallen in love and the pain it cause really, really hurts.
“It’s ok Jin, cry it all out coz I know it freaking hurts. But I still want you to talk to Kame chan when you’re ready to deal with it. I believe that he loves you so much and he won’t do anything to hurt you whether it’s intentional or not.”
“I love him so much Pi, so much. Why did he do this to me?” The latter clutched tighter on his friend shoulder that it starts to hurt but Tomohisa didn’t say anything because if this will help his friend to release the ache inside his heart then he’s willing to endure the pain.

“How’s Kame chan?” Yuichi asked Koki as he looks at their youngest friend silently staring out of the window.
“Fortunately he started eating already though it’s maximum of 5 spoons. But unfortunately he’s still spacing out most of the time” The latter answered as he glumly looked at his best friend.
All these years they’ve known Kazuya, he may be short tempered at times, jolly at times and wild at times but this is the first time they saw him so miserable.
“Kame chan” the oldest one called out as he approaches the figure sitting inside Koki’s room.
The person he called slowly turns his way and gave him a small smile “Yuichi you’re here.”
“How are you feeling?”
“I’m doing well. How are you?”
“Are you sure you’re alright? You know you can talk to me right?”
But the young one chose to ignore the question “where’s Junno? I thought he’ll come here today.”
Knowing that his friend don’t want to answer the question thrown at him Koki join the conversation “Junno will be here in an hour or so.”
Kazuya just nod his head and turn his attention back to the window as if it’s the most interesting thing in the world.
Sighing in defeat Yuichi and Koki stepped out of his room and proceed to the living room and talked softly.
“See? I told you he’s been like that after he barge into my house and cry non-stop...”
“But it’s been 2 week already. He’s been like this for 2 weeks” Yuichi argue. He’s starting to get frustrated with what’s happening to their friend.
“Yu, we can’t blame him. This is the first time he actually fallen in love and it turned out this way. So be considerate and don’t ask him stupid questions ok”
“Hey! I’m not asking him stupid questions!” protest Yuichi as he punched his friend’s shoulder.
“Then what the heck is ‘Are you sure? You know you can talk to me right?’ Kind of question earlier? You know that Kame chan tend to shut himself to others when he’s down. Just let him dwell on his pain for a while. He’ll open up to us when he’s ready to talk.”
“Yeah I know. I’m sorry Koki. It’s just that it hurts me to see him like that.”
“I know. I feel the same way. Sometimes it occurs to me that falling in love is in fact scary.”

“Tanaka san, how’s Kame chan?” Tomohisa asked as he give a Koki a really concern look.
Without Jin’s knowledge Pi search out Koki’s number from his mobile phone, contact Kazuya’s best friend, and asked the latter to meet him at the café near his place in order to know Kazuya’s condition.
“Just call me Koki and I’ll call you Yamapi so it would be less formal”
“Ok, Koki that is. So how’s Kame chan?”
“I don’t know if I should inform you this considering you’re Jin’s best friend and right now I really want to beat the crap out of that guy for hurting my baby best friend but if you can promise me that you won’t tell him what I’m about to say then I’ll let you know Kame’s real condition.”
Hearing this, Tomohisa know that Koki is really serious, so he nods his head in confirmation.
“Honestly Kame chan is not doing well. He’s been sulking and shutting himself to us. When me, Junno and Yuichi is around he’s pretending that everything’s alright but as his best friend I know that it’s all a lie.”
“I’m sorry. I know Kame chan is hurting but Jin’s hurting as well. He can’t accept the fact that Kame chan betrayed him~ ~” but he wasn’t able to finish what he’s about to say when Koki curtly cut him.
“Betray him he said? TO HELL WITH THAT! Kame is not the type of person who deceives others just to be happy. As what Kame chan told me when he almost broke my door down and crying, Jin didn’t give him a chance to explain. Tell me is that fair? He jump into conclusion and left him without giving him chance to defend himself.”
“Koki kun please don’t get mad at me. I understand what you’re trying to say. I also talked to Jin about that. And now I’m trying shaking some sense to him. That’s why I’m asking you or if you want I’ll beg just for you to help me. It hurts me to see Jin like this and I know you feel the same way. So let’s cooperate with one another in order to help them settle their problem.”
Koki look deeply at Tomohisa’s eyes to read his real intention, if he seriously wants to help Kame or he’s just fishing out some information to feed Jin. But seeing the sincerity of the latter, the bald man sighed in defeat
“Alright, I’ll help you. But please don’t tell anyone what I’m about to tell you coz I haven’t even told Yuichi and Junno the real story.”
And once again, Tomohisa nod his head in agreement.
‘He’ll do anything to protect Kame chan just like I’ll do anything to protect Jin.’

“Hello Tat chan” a sweet voice greeted
“Take kun? Where are you? Why did you call?”
“Here at your house of course. I just wanted to know what time you’ll be here.”
“Maybe around 9 PM. Why?”
“Nothing, I’ll wait for you then.”
“Ok. Bye.”
“Ah, Tat chan”
“Yes?”
“I love you…”
“Ha-ha… You’re sappy… I love you too Take kun” then Ueda ended the call.
“Who’s that?” someone suddenly spoke beside him
“It’s none of your business” Ueda coldly replied
“Is he a new lover or your new past time?”
Tatsuya gave a blank look at the person who’s trying to interrogate him
“What is it to you? What I’m doing or who I’m talking to is none of your damn business Ryo.”
“It’s none of my business? After what you did to Jin and Kame chan? YOU’RE TELLING ME IT’S NONE OF MY BUSINESS YOU BACK STABBING FRIEND!”
This statement finally snaps the older one’s cool façade
“WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM IS NONE OF MY BUSINESS! YOU DON’T HAVE ANY RIGHT TO ACCUSE ME JUST BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPENED IN THE PAST. BEAR THAT IN YOUR THICK SKULL!”
With this, Tatsuya stormed out of their dressing room leaving his band mate fuming with anger.
‘I bet everyone’s thinking about the same thing… But you really don’t know a thing Nishikido Ryo… Not a single damn thing…’
