Chapter 30: Never Give Up
“Tat chan! What are you doing here?” as Kazuya ushers his friend inside Koki’s living room.
“Ummm.... I just wanted to visit you that’s all.” The older one smiled as he follows him to the kitchen.
“Where's Koki?”
“Don’t know…. He said he needs to attend on something. Maybe he'll buy things for the shop.”
“I see. How’s the designing business going?”
“Doing really good!”
When Kazuya resume his place in front of the stove, they fell into a comfortable silence with Tatsuya watching him.
‘Wonder what Junno and Koki are doing right now I hope they’re giving Jin a chance to explain.’
Then his thoughts wander back to their conversation 4 days ago.
“What do you mean that Jin’s not with Takeru?” Koki questioned when he, Yuichi and Junno sat across Tatsuya.
“Well, I talk to Takeru and he said that he and Jin are not together and Jin confirmed it.”
“But you saw them kissing, right? So what does that mean?” Yuichi furiously asked.
“My brother said that he made the first move and because Jin’s drunk, he followed his lead.”
“Still not a good reason to me” muttered by the oldest man among the group.
“But I’m just curious, what came up to Jin why he just suddenly take Kame somewhere.” as Junno curiously look at the man sitting before them.
“Jin told me that he just wanted to talk to him, but he got rattled when Kame’s being difficult. I know he was really surprise when he heard what my brother had said and he realized that he made the biggest mistake of his life when he left Kame chan"
Then Tatsuya look at his friends with a firm look on his face “Now, would it be too much to ask if I’ll demand for your help to get Kame and Jin back together?”
“But Tat chan….”
“Honestly, Jin asked for my help. Although first I was thinking whether I'll help him or not coz of what he did. But I decided that I should partly because I want to make up for what my brother did to them.”
“But Tat chan that’s not your fault” Koki argue.
“It is, because if only I've been honest with my feelings right from the very start. Maybe things won't turn out this way. I have no idea Takeru feels something for me and thinking that Jin's the one I love, he tore them apart."
Knowing that they can no longer change his mind, the other 3 sigh in defeat and nod their head in agreement.
“Alright Tat chan will help you out. But in one condition, Jin must prove to us that he really wants Kame chan back.”
And for the first time since they started their conversation, Tasuya flash them a sweet smile and nod his head.
‘Don’t hate me Kame chan… I just want you to be happy again’ Tatsuya silently apologize to his best friend who’s currently unaware of the little scheme they’re doing behind his back.

He glares at the man currently standing right in front of him, giving him a huge smile and a chirpy good morning.
“What are you doing here?”
“Mou… It’s too early for you to be grumpy…”
“Again, what are you doing here?”
“I’m visiting you, of course” a matter of fact answer that irritates him more.
“I’m not sick so you can go home now.” He snapped as he tries to shut the door but unfortunately, that said man was quick enough to stick his foot into the gap.
“Kame chan! What are you doing?! You’re hurting Jin!” holler Koki as walks to the front door after hearing their argument.
“I’m not hurting him; he’s just stupid enough to stick his foot in between.”
“Stop that and let him in! And don’t even think of complaining coz he’s also my visitor.”
So grudgingly Kazuya open the door and let Jin inside the house.
“So Jin what brings you here today” Koki grin at his friend
“I just wanted to visit Kazu chan” he enthusiastically replied.
“That’s great! This guy needs to see other people besides Yu, Tat chan, Jun and me"
“Don't worry I'm contented with you guys. And Akanishi san, what will Takeru kun say if he found out that you're here?”
“Kazu actual~ ~” Jin started but the smaller man turn to his friend.
“Anyway Koki kun, given that he’s also your guest please be a good host and entertain him.” With that, he marched straight to his room and slams the door shut.
“Now what?” Jin exasperatedly asked as he stares at smirking Koki.
“Just sit here and wait… He’ll come out eventually. Remember what we’ve talked about last week.” baldy answered as he heads towards the kitchen, “so do you want juice or coffee?”

‘Tsk! Why is Jin here? And Koki’s not even shooing him away…’ Kazuya annoyingly wondered as he stares at the screen of his laptop.
‘Mou… I should have sneak into Jin’s apartment and retrieve my old one. There are so many important files there.’
He knows that he should be doing his work right this very moment but he finds it hard to concentrate due to his former lover’s presence.
Out of the blue he remember his talk with Junno before he personally met the Boice Club members.
FLASH BACK
“Kame chan why there are only 50 pictures of your beloved Ueda and you have 888 of your ‘I hate’ Akanishi?”
“Junno! Why do you have to bring this topic up?”
“I’m just curious.”
“I see. Well, Ueda’s pictures are precious so 50 is enough. As for Akanishi, his pictures have good angles and lightings that’s why there’s plenty.”
“Only that or maybe Kame chan secretly likes Akanishi but he’s trying to convince himself that he doesn’t. And now he’s trying to convince me.”
“JUNNO!”
END FLASH BACK
“Maybe you’re right Junno and right now I’m doing the same thing.” Kazuya softly said to himself as he clicks the exit button coz he knows that he can’t accomplish anything today.
So he just satisfies himself by staring at his picture which he applied as his wallpaper.
‘I want to smile like that once again.’
A genuinely smile. A smile that’s full of contentment and happiness. But he knew it’s no longer possible coz Jin’s not there beside him, sharing his happiness and smiling along with him. But…
‘Should I believe you Tat chan?’

“SURPRISE! Kame chan’s one and only wallpaper! ” Junno grins “I saw this before when unceremoniously I barge into his room. You should have seen the look on his face when he saw me sitting in his desk snickering at this. Not to mention his Skype avatar, same picture.”
"But... I thought it's Ueda? He said it's Ueda." Koki confirm
"No, it's Jin. He said that Jin's picture have beautiful angle and lighting that's why he likes it and not because he likes Jin. I tell you, that boy's in a terrible state of denial at that time." then both Koki and Junno laugh out loud.
They start checking each folders then after a while they come across Boice Club's with Junno announcing that he’ll be reading the last line.

So Koki eagerly click the folder open and search for Akanishi's folder, Jin couldn’t help but grin at what he saw. Yes, maybe Kazuya likes him right from the beginning without even realizing it.
'888 pictures. Yeah Kazuya definitely and extreme dislikes me.'
“Junno! There’s nothing here that will help us prove whether Kame still wants Jin back or not!” complain Koki as they search each and every folder available.
They’re about to give up when something caught Jin’s attention a folder entitled For My Eyes Only.
“Will it be alright if we open that folder?”
Curiosity shines into Junno’s eyes as he clicks the folder open “Word pad? Now this is something new to me.”
So they huddle together and start opening random entries Upon seeing the contents only one thing clicks into their minds “Kame’s diary!”
Entry 1:
That guy name akanishi really get’s into my nerves! He thinks he’s so hot? Well if I meet him I’ll tell him he’s not! But… why is it I can’t help looking at him? Ummm…. Maybe he’s good looking, yeah… but… wait! Why am I talking about him… this is suppose to be my undying love for ueda! Damn you akanishi!

Tat chan and I are going out for quite some time now… but there’s something that bothers me these days. I mean, why is it that whenever I see jin my heart goes doki doki?

OMG, I can’t believe it… I finally understand this feeling… I love him! but i need to be sure...

Jin and I are officially together now. Yey! no regrets! No regrets at all… my feelings for him is way, way different with what I feel for tat chan. Then maybe this is what they called true love… *giggles*

A: my shelter and my world
This is so embarrassing! But hey! no one can read this except me. So yeah I’ll admit it… love love him so much! Together forever!? I like that!
“Oh you’re still here?”
A familiar voice snaps Jin out of his reverie and when he looked up, he saw Kazuya giving him an annoyed stare.
“Where’s Koki?”
“He went to the convenience store for a while...”
“I see”
He's about to walk back to his room when he felt firm hold on his wrist.
“Kazu~~”
“What is it Akanishi san?” as he gives the other an inquisitive look
“Please just this once, give me a chance to explain. Please listen carefully.”
When the younger man remain quiet, Jin knew he's giving him a chance to speak.
“For everything I did, for leaving you, for kissing Takeru, for hurting you, for treating you the way I did. I’m sorry.
“And haven’t I told you that I’ve forgiven you?” The young man sighed then glanced at his watch “It’s getting late Akanishi san. Takeru might be worried about you.”
“That’s the other thing I want to clarify with you Kazu, I’m not with Takeru. We’ve never been together. Please believe me.”
Jin's not sure if it's only his imagination or did he really saw a faint sad smile flicker on his face.
“I know. Tat chan told me the last time we talked. It’s just that I’m not sure whether to believe him or not. But thanks for clearing that out.” then he noticed that every little move he makes, Jin's holds tighten but not to the extent of hurting him.
“Then would it be too much if I asked for another chance? Let’s work it out. Let’s go back to what we used to be.”
“I hope it's that easy, but so many things had happened and ‘let’s go back to what we used to be’ needs time. And honestly I’m not sure, if I’m ready to commit myself again to someone who doesn’t trust me at all.”
“But I do trust you!”
“Then how come you easily jump into conclusion then shut me out of your life without even hearing me out? You were easily swayed Jin. Is that your way of showing your trust?”
Hearing Kazuya call him by his name, Jin felt an overwhelming happiness and his promise that he won't do anything that will make the little one angrier than he already is, just jump out of the window as he pull him into a tight embrace. He doesn't care if Kazuya will beat him up afterwards, he doesn't care at all.
Right now all he wanted is to hold him tight and let him feel that he regrets everything that had happened and that he'll do absolutely anything and everything just for him to have another chance.
“I’m sorry Kazu. I’m so sorry. Please forgive me. Please give me one last chance.”
Jin felt Kazuya suddenly stiffen in his arms, but his only consolations is that at least he didn't pushed him away and let Jin hug him.
“What should I do Kazuya? Tell me please. I don't want to lose you again.”
A deafening silence follows as he patiently wait for the answer without letting Kazuya go. He would never let go, not this time. Then a faint sound reaches his ears saying...
“Let’s start all over again.”
