PART 1
“NOOOOOOO!!!”
A loud thud followed as a body slumps in the middle of the street. His voice was drowned by the loud cry from the crowd as they start to gather around the body and by the honk of vehicles that were halted because of the commotion. After several minutes paramedics were seen rushing towards the victim.
He stood still as he watched the next scene unfolds right in front of his eyes. They are checking for pulse, after a while he saw the body being put in the stretcher and he can see that the supposed to be white cover is now having traces of blood, lots of blood.
His eyes followed the ambulance as it starts to drive off then glanced back at the scene where he last saw the most important person in his life stood a while ago. He doesn’t know if that person is still alive or not and f he’ll still see that person or not. But it doesn’t matter anymore it’s his fault why it ended up this way.
If only he’d been clear right from the beginning. If only he let that person feels how much he cares. If only… If only… But even though he’ll list a million IF ONLY, it will not bring back that person, maybe not anymore.
So he starts to walk back towards his house. Yes a house, coz without that person, it will no longer be considered as home.

“How are you?” Akihiko asked as he plops down the sofa beside his best friend.
“So far so good” the latter answered as he gave him a warm smile.
“Ah, I’m so glad to hear that”
“Thank you very much. I really owe you a lot Aki kun. If it weren’t for you I don’t know where I will be now.” Yuuki then gave him a slight bow as a courtesy for his kindness.
“How many times do I have to tell you don’t worry? I’m glad to help you” the older one answered.
“But I’m just grateful that you welcome me into your home even though I can’t really remember what really happened before.”
“And how many times do I have to tell you that I did it because you’re my best friend though you don’t remember it” he then pout at his friend
And when Yuuki tries to open his mouth to speak once again Akihiko hush him by saying “don’t rush your self. I’m alright with what and who you are right now so why are you so impatient to remember who you are before, besides you haven’t chance a bit” he firmly stated.
“Ok. But again I thank you for your kindness” the other one said for the last time earning a warm smile and a pat on the head from Akihiko.
It’s been a year since Yuuki move in with him and he was glad he made that decision

“Sir are you a family member of our patient in room 234?” the nurse asked Akihiko as he inquire for the room number of a patient name Yuuki.
“Yeah, I’m an immediate family” he answered
"OK, good thing we only have one Yuuki here in our list of patients or else you have to wander from room to room. Coz he didn’t put his last name on the papers we saw in his belongings...”
After that, the nurse asked someone to accompany Akihiko towards the said room and when they finally reached it, he slowly opens the door and winced at the sight that greeted him.
The person named Yuuki has bandages almost everywhere. From his head down to his torso indicating a serious accident had happen to him. There were also bruises on his arms, but because the lower part of his body is covered with blanket he can’t tell if there are also marks there.
Aki don’t know whether to cry or get mad as he proceed to the bed and sit at the nearest chair to look after the said person.
After a while the doctor in charge steps in and talked to him.
“Are you a family member?” the doctor asked
“I’m his immediate family sir. His family lives in other country” Akihiko softly answer.
“I see. Then maybe I’ll just discuss with you the condition of this boy. You see, because Yuuki kun had a very bad accident, I’m afraid that he’ll have an amnesia. But we’re not so sure about that as of the moment coz he hasn’t regains consciousness since the day he arrived here. And as his doctor, I would like to warn you ahead of time so you know what to expect. Don’t worry it might be temporary so sooner he’ll start to remember the things and the people around him.”
All Akihiko can do was listen carefully with what the doctor has to say. He wanted to cry so badly for what had happen to Yuuki but at the same time he felt relieve.
“Yuuki please wake up…” he whispered as he once again sat at the chair near the bed and quietly said his prayers for Yuuki’s recovery.
After few more days Yuuki finally gain consciousness and the first person he saw as he open his eyes is none other than Akihiko
“Where am I?”Was the first thing he asked.
“You’re at the hospital. You’re here for almost 3 weeks now.”
“You mean I’ve been here for a long time?”
“Yes”
Their conversation was interrupted because suddenly the door opens and the doctor came in.
“Hello… Finally you’re awake” he smiles at his patient
“Yes…” Yuuki softly a1nswer
“Can you tell me your name?”
The boy stays quiet for sometime as if trying to come up with an answer to the question. But after a few moments he looked again at his doctor with a frown on his face.
“I-I can’t remember who I am” he tearfully replied.
Aki didn’t realize that all this time he’s holding his breath as he listen to their conversation knowing the anytime now three words he’s dreading to hear will finally be uttered by the young man..
As he’s about to exhale to release the tension he feels, the bomb was finally dropped. Yuuki glanced at him and asked
“By the way, who are you?” Yuuki calmly asked
Akihiko let out a small cry as he heard these words ‘is this for real?’
“Y-you don’t remember who I am?” he asked
“I’m sorry… I can’t remember anything… I tried but I can’t come up with any answer.”
“I-it’s… It’s okay…” Akihiko hesitantly respond “I’m Akihiko… Kurosawa Akihiko”
“Hello Aki chan… You’re my relative or something?”
It feels like a knife stabbed his heart when he heard these words, but he still collect himself and answer the question “I-I’m yo- your best friend, Yuuki chan”
“My name is Yuuki?”
“Yes… You’re Yuuki” Akihiko answered and he saw a small smile shows on the young man’s lips.
