PART 2
“Aki kun can I ask you something”
“Sure Yuuki chan what is it?”
“Yesterday as I fix some of my things, I retrieve an old diary from the bottom of my closet. Maybe I had it before but of course I can’t remember it right? So I start to read it and I came across a name Hayato. Do you know this person? Do you know who Hayato is in my life?
Certain emotion cross Akihiko’s face as he heard the name but he quickly hide it with a smile.
“Hayato? What did you read about Hayato?” he asked
“Nothing really, I just wrote there that he wasn’t able to come in our meeting place. Like he stood me up” Yuuki narrate. “But why am I meeting him?”
“Oh, I don’t know. Maybe you have something important to tell him” Aki replied as he starts to make his way towards their kitchen.
“Do you know Hayato personally?” Yuuki continue to ask as he follows Akihiko and settle into the chair as he watches the other to pull out the stuff from their fridge and starts preparing the dinner.
Akihiko pretend not to hear what his friend asked but sighed when the question was repeat once again.
“Ok, what do you want to know about Hayato?” He finally asked.
“I want to know who he is in my life.” Yuuki calmly answered
“Why don’t you read your diary for some answers?”
“But I want it to hear from you also. So somehow I know what to expect when I read it…. Please Aki kun, you’re my best friend so I trust you with what you have to say.”
“Are you really sure you want to know who he really is in your life?”
And it was firmly answered with yes so heaving another sigh the older man open his mouth and starts explaining who Hayato really is.
“Hayato was your partner.”
“Partner? Partner in what? Do we have business together?” Yuuki confusedly asked.
“No… I don’t mean that kind of partner… I mean to say, lover. He is your lover” Aki exhale noisily as he also settled in the nearest chair to face Yuuki.
“Lo-lover? I have a lover?” Yuuki stammered as he stares at his best friend seeking for any hint that he’s only joking.
“Yes you had.” The other seriously answered
“But if I have a lover? If he’s my partner? Why he’s not here?”
“Because you’re no longer together”
“Why?”
“Why don’t you read your diary maybe you can find your answer there”

July 3
Today is Hayato’s birthday. I prepared a really special recipe for him. Hope he’ll like it… I’ll update later so you’ll know what he said. If he likes it or not…

July 4
I’m so sad… Know why? He didn’t return home yesterday I waited until 12 M.N. but no Hayato. Honestly, I don’t know what I’m feeling right now. If I’m sad, mad or disappointed. Maybe a mixed of those 3 but maybe he had his reasons why he didn’t come home. So I’ll just talk to him when he gets here tonight. Maybe we can just have a post birthday celebration… But I feel bad that we weren’t able to celebrate it together on the day it self. Ok, I’ll stop here. I’ll just let you know what happen next…
Yuuki close the diary and groan. So this man called Hayato stood him up again. If he really is his lover why does he have to do that? So once again he opens the diary and scan on the pages until one entry caught his attention
Sept 12
We had a fight. Honestly I don’t know where did it start or what the reason really is. I just asked him where he was the other night and he start to go ballistic on me. I just want to know coz he promised that we’ll go out but as USUAL he found a way not to fulfill his promise. So now I’m alone here, coz he walked out on me saying he needs space to sort out his thoughts.
He sighed once again and turns the page until he read a cheerful entry.
Sept 18
Today, I’m so happy… Coz he had a surprise for me. He took a leave from work and spent the whole day with me. Yey! We went out for lunch and I cook for him for our dinner then had a movie marathon. I hope everyday is like this. And hope we won’t fight anymore over petty things.
‘So this Hayato can be caring at times also. I wonder why he’s not here. What had happened that caused us to separate?’
