CHAPTER 1
"And for our entertainment news, the dynamic duo "TOUCH" made another top chart single" Jin looks up from his paperwork and listen to what the announcer has to say.
"Their 3rd single gathered an enormous request and votes since day 1. Making it the biggest climber at # 1 on it's 1st week of release. Not to mention that their two previous singles are still constantly playing on the airwaves." the reporter continues
"# 1 huh?!" Jin said before turning off the radio. "Hey why did you turn it off?! They might play the song!" scream Yuichi who's currently doing his presentation.
"Oh, I didn't know you like them so much." teased by the younger boy, but didn't made an effort to turn on the radio.
"Oi! You turn that on or I'll strangle you using our radio cord?" threaten by his friend... "Fine fine I'll switch it on" and once again the device starts working.
Jin's about to get back to work when his cellphone rings 'huh? why is Maki suddenly calling me?'
"Hello"
"Hello Jin, it's me Maki"
"Yeah I know I saw on the caller ID"
"Hmp! You're really no fun to call"
"OK, I know I am. What do you want?"
"I would like to remind you about my birthday party on Saturday. You're coming right?"
"Huh? But it's already 3 weeks ago? How come you're celebrating it just now?"
"Hmp! Typical meanie. Didn't you remember I wasn't able to celebrate it? So now I'll celebrate it this week. And I also invited some of my friends... Come on Jinny! You're my bestfriend right? How come you don't want me to be happy on this special day!"
"Ok Ok! I'll go... Or you'll pester me until I say yes"
"Yey! That's great! Ok see you on Saturday! Ciao!" then the line went dead
"Girls" mumbled Jin before going back to his work.
"Hey, is that Maki chan you're talking to earlier?" Junno asked as he entered the room. "Yes. And how did you know?" Jin gives him a inquisitive look
"Because I can hear her voice even on the other side of the door, that's why"
"Maybe Jin forget to lower down the volume again" Added Yuichi trying to hide his smirk...
"Oh! Maybe that's why her voice sounds louder than usual" Jin said as he starts to reduce the volume
"You're such a BAKA Jin" teased Junno
"Mou, I didn't know you have a mean bone in your body" pouted Jin and Yuichi seeing this started to laugh followed by the two.
After they calm their selves down, they started working on their task once again...

"So how do you find my friends?" Maki whispered to Jin as they prepared the other dishes to be serve to Maki's guest.
The birthday was held at Maki's house. She also invited Jin's friends Yuichi and Junno along with her friends from her modeling agency.
"They're ok, I guess..." Jin hesitantly answered as he arrange the drinks in a tray that they will carry on the recreation room. "You guess! YOU GUESS?! How come you guess?! Aren't they pretty enough to you? They are models, if in case you didn't notice or just plain dumb !" his bestfriend demand.
"Please! I know they're models" the boy argued "its just that I don't find them attractive that's all" he bluntly added
Maki let out a silent scream and bang Jin's head " YOU'RE A TOTAL NUTS!" she said fuming.
"Hey! Hey! Don't give me that look ok. I'm just being honest" insisting his point. Being tired of the argument, Maki just send a non-commital "whatever" and then turn around carrying the glasses.
Jin, can't understand why his supposed to be "female bestfriend" is trying to hook him up with random girls.
But deep inside, he wonders what his problem anyways... He knows and he noticed those girls, which his friend trying to pair him up with. But he can't find any spark when he looks at them. As if he's just looking to just any ordinary girls.
"Maybe I just need to lighten up and try to mingle with them" Jin said to himself and head towards where their visitors are.
When he arrives there, he found his two friends talking to some female guest. Though at first he can't imagine Yuichi talking to girls having the same age as him without stumbling his words.
And he can see Junno was trying to do his lame jokes on one of the girls, who's luckily polite enough to laugh at his sooo cornball gag.
"Oh Jin, at last you decided to abandon the kitchen and join us" Maki said as she stand up and went over to where her friend stand.
Upon reaching his side, she whispered " better be chatty or I'll kick you out of the house in no time"
"OK MOM!" he replied and proceed to the last available girl on the couch.
"Hi. My name is Jin, Akanishi Jin. And you're?" he asked as he glance at the girl "My name is Rosa. Kato Rosa"
And so the two of them talk until everyone is ready to leave for the night. He bids Rosa and his friends farewell and then said his very belated happy birthday to Maki before heading towards his nearby apartment.
As he walks towards his home, so many thoughts pestering his mind... ' Rosa is beautiful no doubt about it and so does the other 4 girls. But how come I don't feel any attraction towards them?'
He immediately went to his fridge upon entering the house and took 3 cans of beer to help him relax and ignore the weird questions running into his mind.
However, as he open the 3rd and last can it seems that it doesn't help him at all. Coz it only made him think more, think of certain things. And think of certain someone.
As much as he don't want to, his heart and his foot doesn't want to cooperate with his mind as they led him towards his room, opened up his drawer and retrieve a picture.He stared at it for such a long time as if trying to memorize every details on that person's image.
Then he slump into his bed when sleep starts to kick in, unaware that the picture he's holding fall into his bed as well, revealing a person with a warm smile...
