Between Reality and Lies : Chapter 9
CHAPTER 9
“WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!” shout Jin at the now smirking girl in front of him.
“Why? Didn’t you enjoy it?” she sly asked which was flatly answered with no.
“I haven’t given up on you Jin.”
“I told you before, it’s not gonna work.”
“Why?” she insisted
“Because my heart belongs to someone already” he stated directly
This answered made Rosa’s eyes linger at Jin as if she’s trying to hurt him just by merely looking at him.
Suddenly she implied “that guy?” as she points towards the abandoned front door. This made him stare at her as if she’s speaking in unknown language and the only word that came out was “excuse me?”
“I mean that Kamenashi guy. You like him, right?” she’s trying to confirm.
“No… I don’t like him. He’s my best friend. What made you think of that?” He demands.
“So what’s his name?” She continues to pry.
“He? You’re assuming the person I love is a guy? And why are you asking?” Jin wants to know.
“I’m not assuming, I’m confirming it. Your reaction earlier made me jump to that conclusion.” She evenly answered.
Anger starts to rise up, for some unknown reason. And all he wanted as of the moment is to get away from Rosa ASAP and follow his best friend who just suddenly darts out of his house.
So dragging the girl to his front door, he bellows “You really want know who stole your precious Jin away from you? Okay I’ll tell you.” when she didn’t make any attempt to oppose his actions, Jin glared at her and declared “the name is Ishida Yuuki”

Ueda’s relaxation was disrupted by the loud banging on his door. Thinking that maybe it was either his neighbor or Koki. But if it’s Koki, can’t he just call him on his phone?
Heaving a loud sigh he stood up to see who’s doing all the commotion. And it surprised him to see an about to cry Kazuya standing on his doorway…
“Can I borrow some money? I’ll pay you later” and without waiting for Tatsuya’s reply, Kazuya went inside and grab some money on the table before going out once again.
Puzzled by the young man’s behavior Ueda followed him and saw he paid the cab’s driver before walking back to where Ueda’s standing.
“I need to talk to you.” Kazuya simply utter and walked away. And once again Ueda followed him only to realize that their standing at Kazuya’s home, just 1 floor above Ueda.
“What is it? Did something happen?” inquired by the older one.
“I don’t know. I don’t know what’s wrong. I don’t know what’s wrong with me actually!” the latter retorted
“What do you mean? I can’t understand you.” A concern Ueda look at the boy next to him.
“It’s Jin” was heard in a soft reply. Tatsuya can’t comprehend how Akanishi name was drag into this. “What about Akanishi san?”
“Tat-chan, I can’t explain it but seeing Jin with another girl and worst kissing another girl give me this very strange feeling” admit Kazuya.
“Don’t tell me…” but Tatsuya was not able to continue what he’s about to say when a sudden embrace surprised him.
“I don’t know Tat-chan. I’m so scared of this feeling” Kazuya cried as he holds on to the older man.
“You know, honestly this is what I’m afraid of” Tatsuya whispered as he stroke Kazuya’s hair to comfort him.
After hearing these words, Kazuya look up at him as if trying to comprehend what he’s trying to tell him.
“I think you feel something for him” when Kazuya’s about to answer, Tatsuya instantly cut him “more than a friend, is what I’m trying to tell you here.”
“Do you mean…I love him?” Kazuya finally realize what the other one is telling him.
“I think you do...” confirmed Tatsuya before pulling the crying boy in his arms once again.
“I think you finally found the person who will replace me in your heart. More important than me…” mumbled Ueda which get a light whack from Kazuya.

‘What’s wrong with that guy?’ Jin contemplates as he sits on the cab going to Kamenashi’s house. ‘Suddenly bursting out of my home just like that. Weird guy....’
He slumps further on his seat and unexpectedly this registered to his mind ‘Why did I feel guilty when he saw me kissing Rosa? As if I did something that I shouldn’t’ with these thoughts his head start to hurt…
Jin finally reached his destination and after paying the driver he starts to ascend to Kazuya’s home to ask what the hell happen earlier.
He’s almost near his friend’s room when he noticed two figures standing near Kamenashi’s door. As he approached the figures, it became clearer who those people were.
‘Kazuya and Tatsuya’ Jin froze in his place as he stare as Tatsuya hold his best friend in his arms. And with this a terrible pain shot right through his heart.
“Kazuya!” He can’t help but to call out loud. Upon hearing this both Ueda and Kamenashi let go of each other and look at his direction.
“Jin? What are you doing here?” Questioned by the person he just called
“I went after you coz I want to know why you just run out of my place. I was worried about you, but I guess I shouldn’t be because Tatsuya is here to keep you company” the sarcastic tone was obvious in Jin’s voice.
“Jin? What do you mean?” Kazuya looked quizzically at Jin’s outrage face. But without answering his friend’s question Jin just walked out on them.
“Wait Jin!” Kazuya is about to run after him when he felt Ueda’s hand stopping him. “Let go Tat-chan! I need to go after Jin… He’s mad at me...” he plead
But Tatsuya didn’t let go of his arms but command the young man “stay here. I’ll be the one to talk to him”
And before Kazuya can say anything, Tatsuya stride out the hall following the angry Akanishi.

‘What the heck was that!’ fuming and confuse Jin decided to walk back to his apartment to get those uncanny feeling out of his system.
‘Why do I feel that way when I saw Tatsuya hugging Kazu…’ then reality strikes him “oh… my… god… could it be…”
“Akanishi san! Please wait.” He stopped and saw Ueda running after him. He stopped and waits for him to catch up.
“Can I talk to you?” was the first thing the panting guy utter.
“About what?” a cold voice inquire “about Kazuya.” Ueda reply
“What about him?” Jin found himself mad once again upon hearing Kazuya’s name, scene from before flashed through his mind.
“Why are you upset when you found him in my arms?” was the blunt question thrown to him.
“What?! Are you accusing me of being jealous?” yell Jin
“I didn’t say that, you did. Don’t put words into my mouth Akanishi san” contradict Ueda.
“Oh, defending yourself, aren’t you?” a now infuriated Jin talked back. “Well actually I don’t care what your business with Kamenashi san is. That’s your life. Just leave me alone”
Jin’ about to go when Ueda a take hold of him, Jin look at him again to say let go when a fist came in contact with his face.
“HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE KAZUYA, YOU EGOISTIC JERK!” and with that Tatsuya hit him once more. Jin is about to strike back when he heard foot steps coming their way.
“TAT-CHAN STOP PLEASE!” Cried Kazuya
But the guy he’s addressing to don’t seem to heed his call. But the next thing he said made the dueling men stop.
“ONI-CHAN PLEASE STOP IT!!!”
Tatsuya’s blow stops in mid-air as he looks at pleading Kazuya. While Jin who’s in a state of shock with what he heard can only repeat the words “oni-chan?”
Hearing this Tatsuya faced him and responded “yes, he’s my brother you asshole…”
