Landlord cashed multiple checks at the same time.

Hundreds in overdraft charges.

Killed my credit card, savings, and (obviously) checking.

Pissed.

Also...both Dave and I have called multiple times about water damage. Still nothing done.

Boo.

have you looked into the tenant's association? you can probably sue her if she held checks too long. i'm sure there is some law about cashing checks in a reasonable amount of time. kate, ben, and i sued our newport one relatively easily. if she's legally in the wrong, you may be able to restore your credit.

they also have a certain amount of time to make repairs, so that may be another way to go about it.
