because baseball is americas pastime. everytime there has been a tragic accident in america, people have always turned to baseball to make things better. like in 2001 after 9/11, america turned to baseball to help heal things and that post-season it healed a lot of pain.

Well, I love baseball... but mainly because I've been playing it since kindergarten. I suppose that makes watching it more interesting. I'd much rather play it though...
