Weekend Wrap-up
Okay kids, this is how it went down this weekend... (yeah, its a lil long, but I haven't updated a real one in forever, so just read it!)
Friday:
I went to work and worked my normal shift. Because there was no noon show on Thursday or Friday (because we were airing the ACC Tournament - congrats to Duke), I had to producer the cut-ins on Thursday and Friday.
I came home to there here while they put in our new kitchen floor. This was the last step in stage one of our kitchen remodeling. We've taken the wallpaper down, painted, gotten new counters, and now the new floor. Next stage wont happen for a lil while, but its little things like new doors, cabinets knobs, accessory kind of stuff.
My dad and I were switching back and forth between being at the house and running errands, so there was always someone at home. I got my hair cut and ran a couple other errands. I stayed up all day, so by the time 9:30-10:00 PM rolled around, I was dead to the world.
Saturday:
Woke up EARLY to go to the Pre-Season Tournament for the Media League Softball. WBTV Blue (the team I'm on) had to face last year's defending champs, while WBTV Gold (the other WBTV team) played a team called the Run Junkies.
My team was down the whole time, but by only a couple runs - until the last inning, when their stacked batting line-up came in handy and they scored 8 runs on us. We we already down by three before that, so then we were down by 11. We only scored 4 in our last at bat, so the final scored was 17-10.
We play them next week, and hopefully all of our errors from this weekend will be fixed by then.
WBTV Gold lost in the first round too, 23-21. They looked really good. Run Junkies' fielding wasn't as good, but either way, the Gold team looked good. Should be a fun season.
PS - I played catcher for a few innings. That was interesting. Some guy tried running into me to score. Even though I didnt have the ball, he decided he's charge me with his shoulder down. He thought I'd fall, but I didnt and he sorta looked stupid. Doesn't he know I'm like a brick wall?!? Lol.
Anyways....
Then Saturday night, we went out for Holly's birthday. Longhorn for dinner, and then back to Karla's for drinking. It was cool.
Today:
I woke up at like 7:00, and watched TV at Karla's until around lunchtime, and then came home. Basically, I haven't done crap today. I did a lil bit of cleaning, slept for about 2-2.5 hours, and thats all. Not a very productive day, but oh well.
But now, I'm getting ready for work - so I guess I'll catch ya later!
