The only funny thing is that they note that Dumbledore was already being written into fanfiction as gay. Ummm, duh! In fanfiction anyone and everyone is gay, it's a way to play with the texts

She was asked by one young fan whether Dumbledore finds "true love."

"Dumbledore is gay," the author responded to gasps and applause.

I appreciate that she went on to talk about Grindewald, but when you first read this, it makes it sound like gay people don't get true love. :p I dunno how she could have done this differently.

I hope you had fun last night! I'm sorry you had to leave early, I hope things are going ok with your homework. We'll have to meet up between class sometime this week and talk.

Yeah, I think she meant that Grindewald was sucky and that's why he didn't get the true love thing. I don't know how she could've done it better, either. Some people are angry because her one gay character's sexuality isn't acknowledged in the text and also he's not had a happy successful relationship. I know that they are critiquing her.

I'm happy about it still. Yeah, we need more representations of gay people and more positive representations of gay people. Still I'm happy to get support from JKR in any way that I can. :-)
