There was something so incredibly peaceful about this little beach side cottage, a calmness in the air that just swayed Skylar to sleep every night. She woke up every morning feeling more well rested than she ever did in London, no matter how much or how little sleep she actually got.
She felt the shift in weight in the bed which started to slowly pull her out of her dream and back into consciousness, turning over towards Harry.
Her arm stretched out, draping over his chest as she shifted closer.
"Mmm- are you awake?" she asked, her eyes fluttering open.
Of course she knew the difference between his snores by now. Even in her semi-awake state she had a feeling that he was up to something.
He tried to sound as if he was rustled from sleep, groaning softly as he turned to face her, eyes still squeezed shut. But her body felt so warm against his, so soothing that he couldn't help but smile, lips pressed together as he pressed a kiss to her shoulder.
"Good morning-" he said, peeking one eye open. "How did you sleep?"
There was absolutely no doubt in her mind now that Harry had been faking sleep for one reason or another. Maybe he had just woken up grossly early, his body so used to his hectic work schedule, and had been just reveling in the softness of the sheets and the stillness of the room.
It really was peaceful. She'd be happy to stay there all day if there wasn't a beach and the waves calling.
"Better than I have in months," she assured him, turning over onto her side now.
He couldn't help but laugh, knowing that he had just come from seeing a wonderful, modern type cabin on the edge of Maui, off in a seclusion Harry could certainly live in. It offered him a peace that London never would.
No one knew him here and he quite liked that.
"I think I might have one that gives this one a run for its money-"
