Why am I always the first one to reply? Must be because I have no life and an e-mail alert system...

Anywho, I play Gillette (Like you didn't know...)and I've always been rather interested in knowing what Norrington REALLY thought of him.

Hm. Well~! I see Norrington as trying to keep work and his personal life fairy detached (apart from that whole "Elizabeth" thing... *facepalm*) so.. initially he's very neutral. He's a good guy. Loyal. Etc.

Of course, Norrington does care for Gillette to some degree. He respects him, a lot. He'd probably trust Gillette with things he wouldn't share with anyone else. XD Sort of the awkward BFF's of the 1700s?

Obviously, Gillette's respect for the commodore is immense-He'd do anything for him, even going along with the plan of giving Jack 'one day's head start'.

He enjoys his quick wit and dry humour (In posession of no small amount of his own) and has more often than not stayed up in the fort until Norrington has, himself, left for the evening. He has concern for him not taking proper care of himself, but he only ever discreetly hints that maybe Norrington should take it easy and EAT something? He'd probably have been horrified, mortified, disgusted and most likely combusted if he'd ever seen James in the state he was in when he went to Tortuga.

Aww, Gilly. They should have sleepovers but they sit on opposite sides of the room and occasional break into conversation with long, awkward pauses. XD Bahaha. I love them.
