The Salvatore Brothers!
The Idea of writing this, came to me after the 3x03. After the episode, I realized that I was more team Salvatore Brothers than everything else.
P.S I’m not a very great writer and English is not my first language so, sorry if I have made mistakes.
I thought I was team Stelena no matters what, because in my point of view, Stefan loves Elena like he never loves somebody else. I thought, I was right. I thought, even his love for his brother wasn’t bigger than his love for Elena. GUESS WHAT?! I WAS WRONG! I realized it for one of the first time in the 1x08, after that Damon Killed Lexie.
Even if Damon had just killed Stefan’s best friend, Stefan wasn’t capable to kill his brother even if he said that He would stop him (more than one time). Every times, he just he could not do it. Because even if Damon decide to kill everybody in the world, Stefan could never hate him. All of this can be explain by one sentence: HE IS HIS BROTHER. That’s why he will always forgive him. Yes, he can be mad at him but one day or another he will go over it because they’re Brothers.
It’s the same thing for Damon. Even if he acted like de doesn’t gave a shit about Stefan, mostly in season 1, when ‘Stefan The Ripper’ appeared for the first time (in episode 1x17 to 1x20) Damon was there to help Elena to help Stefan. Not Only because of his love for her, but because not matter what he said before, he likes and NEED his brother. If he really did not care about Stefan, He would never have came back to mystic falls. He said that it was because he promised an eternity of misery to Stefan. I think that it’s because he care about his brother that he have kept his promise.
That brought me to the famous quote: ‘Guess I just needed my brother.’ OMG WHAT CAN I SAY MORE!!!! That means everything! He said it. He needed his brother and now he feels guilty but he admitted it. And Damon again, acted like he doesn’t care. BUT IT’S FALSE! It’s just because he’s Damon and he’s not suppose to feel something. But he has feelings. And we all know that, when he heard Stefan say that he needed him, he have felt something!
And I thinkt, in the season 2 we can see more their bromance. We can just take this moment in the 2x08, when Stefan want to go save Elena, and Jeremy told him something like ‘you can’t go there alone’ and Damon come and say that he will go with him.
He goes because yes, he loves Elena but also because he loves his brother and Stefan loves Elena. It’s the same thing in the season 3. He decided to help Elena because he FINALLY realizes that even in the darkness place, Stefan can’t let him die. All the things they make, it’s because of the other.
I will finish with this moment in the 3x03 when Damon negotiates Stefan’s liberty. He said that he was more fun. But we all know that it’s because he don’t want to lose his brother and he will do everything to take him back home.
Of course, I have not spoke about every times Stefan saved Damon's life. and The final of the season 2.
you all know what happened and it's simple, They're Are Brothers and They need each other. I will never say this too much.
I know it may be hard to believe that they really love each other more than they love Elena but I think it's true.
They love each other like they never loved someone else. THAT'S IT!
