Yet another 1stclass_kink prompt, this one my first foray into non-crack/fluff. And instead we have the most over-the-top emo angsty h/c... yay?

I really enjoyed writing this. Who knew? I still stay loyal to my crack, though.

Oh god, the rapid descent from this gorgeously descriptive state of Charles' bemusement, to his palpable horror, and the regret and love at the end... I'm emotionally rung out. This is lovely.

I've stumbled upon this wonderful creation, and it made my stomach drop, and my heart stop! You're awesome. Period, how do you wrench all of these feels out of me all at once?? Poor Charles, holy crap, your descriptions are so good.

I'm definitely a lurker, but I had to comment because I just heard of the about the quietest room in the world a couple of days ago, and then I read your heart wrenching story.. anyway I wanted to share this with you in case you hadn't heard of it!

apparently the longest time any one has ever spent in this room is 45 minutes. People felt like they were going to go insane because there wasn't any noise.

This is so terribly sad for Charles! I loved your story, thank you so much for sharing!!

Hey! I'm so glad my fic could give you enjoyment and feels. And thank you for the link, I'd never heard of that. Eeep. Yes, that's exactly what I wanted to get across for Charles - how the silence around him meant his own thoughts got impossibly loud and disorientating until he couldn't think at all. It's nice to know it actually happens like that, with noise if not with telepathy!

Again, I know it's been quite a while since you posted this, but it is fantastic. Charles' terror and total disorientation, and Erik's horror at what he had unintentionally done to him and then his beautifully tender comforting...just wow!
