Hey hey hey! I just checked up on the XMFC link on a whim, and lo an UPDATE YAY! :D
This story is so very cool. I love the way you have Erik trying to be sensible and adult about it; and how you have Charles being his usual curious, blithe self when bam! About turn in the form of Jason Stryker. Very very well done.

I also feel you made good use of Sebastian Shaw's character, beyond the usual evil!Erik catalyst. It should be interesting to see where the rest of the mutants, and especially Tony and Peter Parker stand on this. Waiting (mostly) patiently for an update :D

Yay, I'm glad you're enjoying it! I figured it was time to mess up Charles as thoroughly as I've been messing up Erik...

Definitely going to be taking a peek at the others' reactions in later chapters - I'm interested to see what they do too! Thanks for waiting, I'll try not to leave it too long :D

JESUS CHRIST THIS IS SO GOOD!!! I know you never intended it to get so plotty, but holy shit, is the plottyness ever good!!!!!!!!!!! I agree with what someone up there said ^^ about how this is so much more terrifying because it's happening to children, and not adults...the world you've created is something completely real to me, but something that also seems like it's on the verge of erupting into some kind of apocalyptic landscape...i love the juxtaposition between the life erik and charles SHOULD have, university and an apartment and all their friends, and another life they could choose for themselves, something rebellious and subversive, something dangerous but liberated...

I'm so glad Charles knows now what Erik was so afraid of, though his reaction was hard to read, only because I love him so much....

*bounces* Thank you! I'm glad you like the juxtaposition, though I find that so much harder to write than the emotional parts like Charles's reaction, because I just don't want it to be true.
